HOW ONLINE ADVERTISING CAN EQUAL BIG PROFITS

Online Advertising - www.mashuk.pro

Online advertising campaigns are the best ways to gather leads and scale your business fast. It can target extremely localized to global reaches based on your intent. But please understand that all online advertising mediums are not the same.

Based on the type of your business and the type of ads you wish to use for promotions can yield different results on various advertising campaigns. Also, your budget often plays a major factor on where you wish to advertise your products or services.

As I am an online business entrepreneur, I will stick to the online advertising mediums and how to eventually generate substantial profits from them in this post, as appropriate.

Generally speaking, you will hear of the two major online advertising platforms as Facebook and Google. Frankly speaking, if you could master these two platforms, you will need to look no further. Having said that, other platforms include YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit, Craigslist, etc. You could also have a look into my previous post on paid and free traffic sources.

I will proceed to discuss only Google & Facebook here as I feel these are the most relevant platforms to facilitate the purposes of this specific post on mostly paid online advertising sources.

My preferred online advertising platform of the two has always been Google. This is because that any ads which are shown only based on the search results for keywords which anyone would be searching for at any given time. Hence, all the ad campaigns should be designed with specific keywords in mind which best serves your purpose including your budgets.

I am sure you have guessed it already that the keywords would then be a major consideration for your budgets. Also to note here that the same keywords would have different costs associated with them at various different geographical settings. For example, the same keyword ‘insurance attorney’ would have different costs for USA, India, Brazil, Nigeria, etc.

I believe you get the point. The lowest a keyword could potentially cost would be $0.01, however this would be highly improbable.

There are also several other factors which impacts the costs, but I will address those in a future post in details. Google is also revamping their advertising platforms and services. Let me run through the key points of these changes for the purpose of clarity.

Online advertising changes with Google

Google launched AdWords nearly 18 years ago with a simple goal, to make it easier for people to connect online with businesses from which they are looking for any products or services. Anyone searching for even simple things like car detailing shop, pet care facilities, drawing supplies, organic foods or even for a service like a lawn mowing services gave Google an opportunity to deliver valuable ads that were actually useful and relevant at that specific moment. That type of an idea was the start of their first advertising product which led to the ads business Google offers today.

Needless to say that a lot has changed since then. Mobile is now a huge part of our everyday lives. People quickly switch from searching for products, to watching videos, browsing content, playing games and more. As a result, marketers have more opportunities to reach consumers across channels, screens and formats.

Advertising on Google has evolved tremendously as well. From helping marketers connect with people searching on Google and by helping them to connect at every step of the consumer journey. As the opportunity to engage consumers has grown and become more complex, Google is always trying to match the momentum by simplifying their products for advertisers and publishers of all sizes so they can more easily reach consumers anywhere, at any moment and on any channel.

That’s why Google is now introducing new brands for their advertising products: Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and Google Ad Manager. These new brands reflect all of the ways that Google could help advertisers connect with consumers and make it easier for advertisers and publishers to choose which products are right for their businesses. Further as a part of this move, Google is releasing new solutions that would help advertisers get started with Google Ads and drive collaboration across teams.

Google AdWords is becoming Google Ads

The new Google Ads brand represents the full range of advertising capabilities which Google can find today on Google.com and across their other properties, partner sites and apps to help online businesses connect with the billions of people finding answers on Search, watching videos on YouTube, exploring new places on Google Maps, discovering apps on Google Play, browsing content across the web, and more.

For small businesses specifically who are not doing online advertising at the moment, Google is introducing a new campaign type in Google Ads which will make it easier than ever to get started with online advertising. It brings the machine learning technology of Google Ads to small businesses and helps them get results without any heavy lifting, so that they can stay focused on running their businesses at all time.

Stronger collaboration with Google Marketing Platform

Google is also enabling stronger collaboration for enterprise marketing teams by unifying their DoubleClick advertiser products and the Google Analytics 360 Suite under a single brand: Google Marketing Platform.

Already some marketers have remarked that there are real benefits to using ads and analytics technology together, including a better understanding of customers and better business results. Google Marketing Platform helps online businesses to achieve their goals by building on existing integrations between the Google Analytics 360 Suite and DoubleClick Digital Marketing. The platform helps marketers plan, buy, measure and to optimize digital media and customer experiences in one place.

As part of the Google Marketing Platform, Google has announced Display & Video 360. Display & Video 360 brings together features from DoubleClick Bid Manager, Campaign Manager, Studio and Audience Center to allow creative, agency, and media teams to collaborate and execute ad campaigns end-to-end in a single place. Google will share more details about Display & Video 360 in time.

Google Ad Manager: A unified platform

Google recognized that the way publishers monetize their content has changed. With people accessing content on multiple screens, and with advertisers’ growing demand for programmatic access, publishers need to be able to manage their businesses more simply and efficiently. That’s why for the last three years, Google has been working to bring together DoubleClick for Publishers and DoubleClick Ad Exchange in a complete and unified programmatic platform under a new name, Google Ad Manager.

Google Ad Manager - www.mashuk.pro
Google Ad Manager – www.mashuk.pro

With such an evolution, Google is rather excited to do even more for their partners by earning them more money, more efficiently, wherever people are watching videos, playing games or engaging with content, and also in any which way the advertisers are looking to work with them.

Transparency and controls people can trust

Google knows what the media and technology advertisers and publishers choose to use will impact the relationships they have with their customers. Google’s commitment is to ensure that all of their products and platforms set the industry’s highest standards in giving people transparency and choice in the ads they see. For example, Google recently announced new Ads Settings and expanded ‘Why this ad?’ across all of their services, and almost all websites and apps that partner with them to show ads.

Even after launching these new services, I am sure they will keep on optimizing them for a while to better serve the customers and partners.

What about online advertising with Facebook?

As with many online business professionals, I share a very similar view with Facebook ads. Success with advertising on Facebook will primarily depend on geography. If your target country or geography has a very high level of users who accesses Facebook on a daily basis, only then you could expect the best results with Facebook advertising.

Online Advertising with Facebook - www.mashuk.pro
Online Advertising with Facebook – www.mashuk.pro

If you do this research within the Facebook Ads Manager, the number you will see there is the number of total users for that country or area. You should do this research independently to get a clear idea of how many active daily users there are for your particular country or area of interest.

Unlike Google, whereas a person maybe actively searching for your product or services, Facebook will actually display your ads to people who may fit your preferred demography, location, affinities, etc. So, it is possible to cover a very large segment of targeted people without achieving the desired results.

Also do keep in mind that Facebook is a social network whereas people in general are logging onto it to do some socializing. Running across any ads will need to be a highly compelling experience to jerk any immediate reactions out of them. Most ads Facebook users come across are simply ignored.

Although what I am saying about Facebook ads may seem a bit negative, that is not my intention here at all. I am simply trying to point out that both Google and Facebook are the most viable online advertising platform while both demand a very different mindset to create and implement any ad campaigns.

Also to consider that you could have some very good options for you to use in Facebook in addition to having your own website to promote. You could create fan pages in Facebook for your business and post your offers there for others to see and engage with.

You could also create or join groups where you could not only promote your own business but also see what your peers are doing to promote their businesses. Your groups can be moderated as you may wish to and even decide who can join or not.

With your fan pages and groups, you can create or even reinforce your brand easily at a very personal level with others. But do keep in mind that I had mentioned earlier that this is a social network. So, the more socially you can engage with your audience, the better the results will be.

Aside from creating and promoting your ad campaigns in Facebook, you could also promote the individual posts you may create in your personal page, fan pages or in your groups. You may even get many free promotions out of all this if others are willing to ‘share’ your posts. This would be the ultimate form of success in this form of online advertising in Facebook.

What should be the key target for your online advertising campaigns?

I recommend to encourage for any of your ad campaigns to sway your audience to click on to visit your own website or offer, away from Facebook or Google. This should be the desired end result even from your Facebook fan pages and group activities.

Ideally, you would want anyone who clicked on your ads or posts to go to your landing or squeeze page. This landing page is not to be confused as the home page of your website. I have a detailed BLOG on how to go about creating a landing page here.

As explained in details, all landing pages are designed for a singular purpose which is to get the visitor to take action on your offer immediately. This action could be anything from downloading a free e-book, getting a cool infographic, trial software, any type of a purchase, limited time access, etc.

Also make sure to use a very good hosting company to ensure maximum up time of your site or landing pages. Otherwise your ad revenue will be wasted by sending traffic to a page which may be down at times.

Never forget to do this

The most important part is to get your prospects to enter their email addresses in your capture form before the action in the landing page is completed. These email address are then entered into your email list or sales funnel at the back end. Naturally, you will need to have the sales funnel setup and active beforehand.

An email autoresponder will work in tandem with your sales funnel to run your email campaigns to do all future marketing and selling to all your subscribers in your email list over time. A dynamic set of emails need to be in your funnel which will offer value to your subscribers in return for their decisions to purchase your products and services.

The back end is where your profits are

Surely you have understood by now that your initial online advertising campaign in Google or Facebook should be an enticing offer which would only need to get them to click on the ad to get them to your landing page.

Once there, the full details of the offer is found with sufficient prompt to take action immediately. Keep in mind that this action is not any big ticket sales. The action they may take is intended to convert them from a cold prospect to a warm lead.

The big ticket sales start to happen from your compelling offers in your sales funnel, which your leads will receive in their email inbox. I can’t stress enough of the importance of a good sales funnel.

You can pick up a free book on how to create the best sales funnels here. In this book by Russel Brunson himself, you could find all the steps on how to strategize and implement a high converting sales funnel.

What about webinars?

Another popular way to generate leads are by holding webinars. In fact, it’s the rage these days for many successful marketers. Of course, you will need to have already created some familiarity of your brand, products and services to get the optimum results from your webinars.

You need to certainly market the webinars through online marketing campaigns.

webinars - www.mashuk.pro
webinars – www.mashuk.pro

Please do not confuse a webinar with a ‘Facebook live’ session or ‘watch parties’. Webinars must be done professionally in a feature rich environment where your brand value is being represented by a live person who is speaking to all prospects directly.

Your live webinar attendees should have the capability to interact with you directly. This is very important for a Q&A segment usually towards the end of the webinars. Besides just answering questions, you should be able to send across screenshots and active links for your attendees to opt-in to your offer right away rather than later.

It’s always best to have the capability in the webinar system for prospects to opt-in with their email addresses during the webinar in exchange for any services. You could verify all opt-ins in real time and start to build rapport with them before ending the live webinars.

The recordings of such professional level webinars could also be marketed afterwards , i.e. your fan pages and groups, to continue the campaign to generate even more leads.

My recommended webinar system can be found here. You will get access to this high converting webinar system and test drive it for yourself to explore all the features for absolutely free for 60 days!

I hope that I was able to provide the idea of a basic road map for online advertising campaigns and how to completely execute a sales campaign.

Is all this a lot of information to explore? Yes.

Is it a lot easier said than done? Yes.

But consider this. You will need to master all this and more in order to make a steady stream of unbound profits from your online business. So, it’s certainly worth it for you to allow yourself the time to learn this entire online sales process from online advertising to finally making predictable and generous profits effectively.

HOW TO DO EMAIL MARKETING

How To Do Email Marketing - www.mashuk.pro

Email marketing strikes some people as “old-fashioned.”  More fashionable options like social media and mobile marketing get all the attention these days, and some people will even try to tell you that email marketing is dead.

Unfortunately, reality doesn’t agree. In fact, with a strong content marketing approach, email is more powerful than ever.

Why? Because it moves the conversation about your business or information product to a more personal environment — the inbox.

In fact, many of you probably started to read this BLOG from my emails delivered right into your inbox as my premium content. The email will ultimately lead you to finish reading the full content in the BLOG page at my site.

The email inbox still happens to be the #1 preferred channel for permission-based content marketing, by a wide margin, over social media, direct mail & paid search. Email provides you the most direct line of communication for conversion to sales, and smart online marketers have no intention of giving it up any time soon.

Email Marketing Fact

With an ROI of around 4,300% (according to the Direct Marketing Association), email marketing almost pays for itself. Direct mail campaigns cost, on average, almost ten times more.

5 Strengths of Email Marketing

  1. Email marketing is still the most cost-effective way for promotions
  2. By consistently offering valuable content, you could build loyal followers
  3. More followers would lead to repeat traffic through referrals and word-of-mouth
  4. You can track email data easily and watch your response rates as they climb or fall
  5. Higher engagement means higher conversion rates that boost your bottom line

On the flip side, the percentage of permission-based messages that are trashed by email service providers is very high, and spam filters seem to be getting smarter every ongoing moment.

Sure, we’re all familiar with email newsletters that tends to waste our time, pitches that annoy us, and are simply downright spam.

Those never work but plenty of people are toiling over them.

What does work is a value exchange system — your valuable information for your prospect’s valued time.

Your subscribers need to know that they can trust you … that you’re not a soulless self-promoting spam-bot. You ultimate aim is for your readers to dig through spam filters, complain to their email providers, and do anything they can to make sure they’re getting your content.

Good email content deepens your relationship with your audience through:

  1. Effective subject line writing, to get your emails opened
  2. Speaking to your audience in a distinctive voice to get your content read
  3. And delivering quality, niche specific content your prospect needs and would willingly share with others.

All good email marketing campaigns will always need to include good subject lines. The subject lines are just as important, if not more, as titles of any BLOG posts. They need to be compelling enough to get the prospect to open the email to read it instead of simply deleting the email before opening it.

Give the subject lines good enough consideration and not simply put something together at your whim.

Best Practices for Writing Subject Lines

  1. Try to include a number in your subject line to significantly increase your email opening rates. This follows the same logic as including numbers in any BLOG titles. For a better understanding of this, you can have a quick read of one of my previous BLOGs on this.
  2. Keep it short and to the point. Long sentences as subject lines will certainly result in fewer opening rates. This is primarily due to the fact that almost 50% of all emails will be viewed in mobile devices. Best to have subject lines which can be viewed in full in all types of mobile devices.
  3. Depending on your email topics, research the automatic spam trigger words and avoid them like the plague in your subject lines. Even though your content might deliver some awesome value, it will never be read if the email ends up in the spam/junk folder.
  4. Do not use any ‘clickbaits’ in your subject lines. Such clickbaits may get your emails opened only once and then will be flagged as junk emails. You do not ever want your prospects opening your emails for the wrong reasons. Misleading your prospects will only cost you.
  5. Likewise, do not use your company names or brands in the subject lines. You want to use the limited amount of words in the subject lines to make the value of the content more apparent. The value you offer should always be the primary driver of your email marketing campaigns.
  6. Recent studies show that using any emoji in the subject line will affect your prospects in a positive way, hence will increase your open rates. But no need to over do it either. Around 1-3 emoji should be enough.
  7. Never use all caps for your subject lines. You may feel that using all caps will make your subject lines stand out, but it’s rather quite the opposite. You would be grabbing for attention in a negative way. Rather, using title case in your subject lines will deliver you the desired results. Psychological studies show that title case denotes authority.

How should you structure your content in email marketing?

All successful email marketing campaigns have a unique aspect to them. The content is structured in a specific and personal way with the aim to engage the readers to consume the content within a seemingly short duration.

My suggestion is to break up the content into three separate parts.

  1. Right at the start, you will need to establish yourself as an authority on the content you are about to offer. Even your personal experiences, and not strictly academics, could make you an authority on the subject. Tell your story and make the content relevant to you. With a commitment to building a relevant and targeted email list, you should always deliver the authority and trust to your expectant list, and develop a long-term conversation that eventually grows your business and personal brand.
  2. For the next part, establish an opportunity for the readers to connect to the content at a psychological level. This is usually done by asking certain relevant questions? Such as, ‘How would an extra $2,000 per month affect your life?”. Naturally, the answer will be different for everyone while you knowing that all of the answers will be on the positive side.
  3. To wrap things up in your email, you will need to finally allow the readers to make a decision based on the breadcrumbs you had already laid out. This is very important for you not to not appear as leading them somewhere. They must consciously make the decision and fully own the outcome of it.

The tone of the email is preferred to be of a casual nature. Just because you need to establish yourself as an authority doesn’t mean that you will need to sound as one. Your casual tone would relax the prospect enough to make any spot decisions.

So you could get the idea that your email copy needs to be highly logical and laser focused on a singular idea. Too many speculations would only dilute any desired results. Short, sweet and simple is the recipe for success to winning copywriting for email marketing.

Important Tips for your Email Marketing Campaigns

  1. Speak to your prospect as a person and not a group. This means, use only first person grammar and vocabulary when composing your copy for the email. Do not make your copy seem generic and was made to address a group of people in general. Often enough, even I receive emails which I can tell very clearly that it was repurposed from another campaign.
  2. Speed is the key. Starting from your subject line, have direct and logical track to cover all your intentions of your email. Deliver the value early on backed by direct logic. I don’t mean here for you to rush anything, just take care not to meander off into too many branches and keep on skirting the real issue at hand. Remember to always keeping it short, sweet and simple.
  3. To put things into perspective, your prospect is what legendary copywriter Robert Collier calls “the man on the speeding train.” We see something shiny through the window as we speed through the massive clutter of the social media landscape, but we don’t look for long because a new thing is already in our periphery.
  4. Your offer must be relevant to your audience/prospects. If you are marketing orange seeds to a peach orchard, you would be clearly in the wrong place. The same applies to not being relevant to your prospects, regardless of how valuable you may feel your offer is.

Similar to the tone being of a casual nature, the copywriting must be done in a very easy to read manner. Go through and re-organize your copy several times before finalizing. Easy reading equals shorter time spent and quicker decisions. This fact also reinforces your authority factor.

Some quick copywriting tips for your email marketing

Repetition: Repeat but don’t be repetitive. You could make your point in several ways.

State reasons why: The psychology of ‘because’ primes your audience for action.

Social Proof: The driving nature of acceptance and belonging.

Comparisons: Use of metaphors, similes, and analogies that relate to things generally accepted as true.

Agitate and solve: Describe the problem, then offer your solution.

Prognosticate: Give a glimpse of the future based on practical insights and/or case studies.

Go tribal: Give your prospects an exclusive opportunity to be a part of something great.

Address any objections: Do your research so you know your audience’s objections before they do.

Storytelling: The easiest way to sell anything is to tell a great story, your story. Legendary Marketer named David Sharpe affectionately calls this ‘story-selling‘.

Quick email tips for your email marketing campaigns

  • Capture your opt-ins with a prevalent and strategic email sign-up on your website (double opt-ins are the safest)
  • Automate your email newsletters with a proven autoresponder
  • Write irresistible email subject lines that can’t be ignored
  • Use the language of persuasion, but keep it simple
  • Be conversational and relatable
  • Tell a great story
  • Study your audience and know your targeted niche and demographics
  • Make sure you are offering more than great value in exchange for prospects’ time
  • Create email content that is succinct and easy to digest
  • When you build trust by offering valuable content, you turn your audience’s precious attention into long-term interest that drives repeat traffic

Any good autoresponder lets you create defined sequences of emails to send to your readers. The millionth subscriber would surely have the same experience as the first.

This means that no matter how busy you get during the week, your new email subscribers are always well taken care of. Your list will always be served at your pre-set sequence.

It’s also a very good idea to ask the email recipients to whitelist your email address by simply adding it to their contact list. You have nothing to lose by asking them and everything to gain. You should ask this several times in the emails your autoresponder will send over time in order to reinforce your request.

Growing your email marketing list

Your growing list is the lifeblood of your email marketing campaigns. You need to truly understand what will trigger a prospect to give you their email address very willingly. Ethical bribes such as free e-books, podcasts, special reports, infographics, etc. has always worked with varying degrees of success.

You can download a PDF with fill-in-the-blank type of 45+ email marketing templates here.

When you build an ongoing relationship with your audience (and email subscribers in particular), they are the ones most likely to help you build long-term income:

  • Your subscribers are the ones who have the strongest foundation of trust with your content.
  • Your subscribers will still be there even if you run into snags on your website (like getting hacked, or penalized by Google).
  • And your subscribers will become the bulk of your buyers, whether it’s now, or sometime in the future.

Your subscribers or commonly referred to as your email list is truly the most valuable asset you can build, over time, for your online business. When you focus on getting your audience to sign up for your email list you are in fact ensuring a far higher rate of conversion for your services or products.

But the question is that why would anyone sign up to your BLOG or website?

The simple answer is that they would need to see a value in joining your BLOG or website. This value needs to be strong enough not only to serve their needs, but also their egos as well. Hence, in addition to the value, offer them some social proof as well. If you are a large subscriber base, posting the number of subscribers can be a very good form of social proof.

If you are just starting out, showing a large number of subscribers would be a problem. However, I offer a few suggestions for you:

  • Using testimonials in your signup area. Why not show them what other people are saying about becoming a subscriber? This is especially effective if you can get a testimonial from someone respected in the industry. Don’t leave these testimonials in your testimonials page, rather put them where people need to see them to create maximum impact.
  • If you have a good number, display it. If you get a lot of comments, be sure your comment number is displayed at the top of your posts. Perhaps your number of monthly visits is reasonably impressive, make that prominent. If you have a good Twitter following, highlight that. Large numbers immediately help new subscribers feel like they are becoming a part of something.
  • Use exclusivity. In your call to action, you might talk about why signing up means becoming part of an exclusive community. Being part of a group is good. Being part of a group that other people don’t know about is even better.
  • Use social media. Encourage the happy readers you already have to tweet your content, like it on Facebook, and otherwise use social media tools to demonstrate that you’ve got good stuff.

Email marketing is here to stay

At a time when content marketing over emails is as prevalent as ever, its power is hard to ignore.

According to recent marketing surveys:

  • 8 out of 10 consumers claim to receive marketing messages alongside our personal emails on a daily basis.
  • 70% of us make use of a coupon or discount we learned about from email.
  • Over half of us say that receiving special offers is the top reason for subscribing to an email list from a business.

Every single minute, some 170 million emails are sent by an estimated 3.6 billion accounts worldwide, and around 100 of those may land in your own inbox every day.

20 SEO TIPS FOR POSTS AND PAGES

20 SEO TIPS FOR POSTS AND PAGES - Mashuk.pro

Anyone who wishes to be found in the Internet by their target audience, Search Engine Optimization, or commonly termed as SEO, should always be on top of their minds. While doing SEO for certain types of websites may prove to be easier than others, the basic considerations tend to be the same in general.

The content spread throughout any website will play the major role for most, if not all, SEO checklists. This in itself poses a rather huge challenge. This means that if you keep only the major SEO aspects in mind, your content will suffer.

After all, it’s human beings who will be reading through your content. However, it will be the search engine bots who, i.e. from Google, will rank your site after evaluating the content based on very different metrics. Therefore, you must become a grand expert on content creation keeping both the human aspects and the search engine bots in balance.

The general rule of thumb is to have the keyword(s) inserted into the page tags as well as peppering the body text with them. Not long ago, the tags and the body text could be littered to the point of almost gibberish with the keywords. However, Google has greatly changed the way it evaluates content as to where it will determine whether a human being is able to read the content in any normal fashion.

So, the art of writing content now plays a very strong role in all SEO evaluations. Simply put, inserting keywords must make sense and be relevant to the content being written.

Hence, true success is only achieved when the art of SEO & the art of content writing is in perfect harmony where search engine ranking and user experience works seamlessly.

Is such a writing skill easily achieved? Absolutely no.

Most of us have been trained in either one, traditional creative writing discipline or the comparatively newer digital discipline. Rarely can we see both present within the same type or range of content.

Now a days, no matter your writing style, SEO is a ‘must’ consideration for all pages and posts. Keywords must be inserted properly throughout the site in order to achieve maximum ranking. Of course, you will need to have quality content to work with to begin with.

Make no mistake that readers will be able to see through any poorly written content straight away. Only content with authority and absolute clarity can boast a solid readership base over time. Hence, SEO elements must work in harmony and not disturb the original writing style and intention of the content.

For such harmony to happen, I allow myself time. I tend to simply write out everything that’s rattling around in my head on the subject. I don’t even worry about the grammar. Just simply freehand writing flowing from my thoughts.

Editing happens later on and in stages. Running through once over is simply not good enough. Consider your keywords, audience, subject matter, key benefits, solutions offered, etc. during the entire editing process. I usually allow myself a couple of days for several revisions until I am satisfied.

I am a bit of an old school writer and will always tend to write as such. However, I have struggled and learned to be better through following some best practices I have read about over time. Let me attempt to offer you some of those best practices tips as below.

1.      A Catchy Headline

I have already touched on how to write catchy headlines in a previous post. Here I just wanted to reiterate that the keyword must be present in the headline. Often enough the headline carries as much weight as the words that follow.

Also my workflow is to develop my headline AFTER the entire article is finished, including the editing process. This provides me with a better understanding of the entire content and finalize on a more fitting headline with the SEO keywords in place.

2.      Keyword Research or SEO

Have a standard workflow of how you do your keyword research. Do the keyword research well beforehand and plan your content accordingly. Also have a process flow on checking back on the specific keyword later in time, in case another variation would become a better fit.

3.      Using Bullet Points

Did you know that Google pays very keen attention to Bold letterings, Bullet Points and Block Quotes for SEO? Well, it does. Perhaps not a sure fire thing, but will certainly help your SEO for the page or post.

4.      Keywords in Meta Description

This fact is not really for SEO purposes as Google claims to not use meta descriptions for ranking purposes. Rather, in the search results, your meta description will have your keywords appear as bold. This should catch the reader’s attention better and improve the chances of engagement.

5.      Keyword Priority

Know where the keywords matter most. Usually, the logical priority sequence is:

  • Title tag
    • This is very important and try to place the keyword early in the sentence
  • Internal links within the content
  • Alt attribute of the images
  • Headline tags
  • Meta description

6.      Write something daily

It’s a fact that writing is like developing a muscle. The more you do it, the more conditioned you become. Work with a daily schedule so that you have a dedicated time slot for writing. Not necessarily you will need to publish every piece of writing. But write anyway.

Turn off all distractions, including your Wi-Fi during your writing times. Even researching during your writing times is considered a major distraction. Organize all your research work before you start to write.

Also such regular practice will decrease mistakes with grammar and spellings and make the editing phase a lot less stressful.

7.      Peak Performance

I always prefer to write during the early morning hours. I feel my energy flows at peak levels during those hours. Of course the 2 cups of coffee might have something to do with that also.

8.      Focus on your topic

Needless to say that you will do best if you write on topics you resonate well with. Don’t worry of the commercial success and focus on just churning out quality content on your chosen topics.

9.      Ask a lot of questions

Join active forums on the topic(s) you are writing on. Ask questions and let others answer them. Such type of proactive engagement will foster better thinking as well as provide indications on interest levels on the topic. Engage in detailed conversations in case the interest levels seem high.

You can then build your content around the questions. Answering even one question can become a full length post. It also may be a good idea to merge a few questions into the same post, depending on the situation at hand.

10.  Always research beforehand

The readers are very unforgiving towards false or mis-represented facts. Doing proper research will severely impact your credibility overall. Studying your direct competitors can also be a good way to find out what works and what doesn’t.

I spend a good deal of time with research, usually during any down times I may get during the day. I always carry a notebook and pen with me to jot down any quick thoughts I may have throughout such times. If the pen and paper isn’t your thing, you could do the same with a tablet or perhaps even a voice recorder.

11.  Know your audience

Your content should always be written with your audience in mind. Always try to write with a similar tone so that your content becomes truly unique to your audience and eventually encourage them to share the content.

12.  Tell the whole story

Don’t just rush to finish a story. Allow for your audience to feel their way around your entire content. The beginning should be just as important to them as the end. Appeal to all their senses where you can. Lead them on to what and how they should feel and possibly even react to any particular situation.

The average length for an effective post should be around 2000 words. This fact gives you a lot of room to work with to tell the depth of the story. Longer posts are perfectly fine, but only IF they are filled with appealing content rather than wasteful fluff.

13.  Organize the 5Ws

Your content should always address the classic 5Ws – What, Where, When, Who & Why. Of course the most key element follows with the How. I often like to put a teaser for the How in my headlines or titles. All the 5Ws should always be addressed elaborately in organized paragraphs. This way, it’s also easier to insert your keywords well in to the content for the perfect SEO.

14.  Start with the end in mind

This is an old cliché but it really works. If it helps you to visualize this better, write out the topic first on a piece of paper. Then on the next line, write out the objective you wish to achieve ultimately. This way you can always refer back to this often and not meander off into tangents.

Once finished, you should actually audit your content versus the objective before publishing

15.  The 10 second rule

When editing, keep in mind that it’s a proven fact that you will have around 10 seconds max to engage your reader to the content. Hence, you will need to edit in such a way to achieve any engagement very early on. This may lead to re-writing some of the content, which is just fine. Allow yourself the time to do this.

16.  Select your words wisely

Always use strong and suggestive words to begin as well as ending the sentences. Avoid any passive words to start any sentence. Similarly, the paragraphs should also be structured in a way that it will always start with a strong sentence and should end similarly as well.

Remember that you will need to lead the reader to where they need to go. Hence, every word matters.

17.  Less is more

This tip is of paramount importance. In fact, obsess over this fact.

You really don’t want to dilute the strong words and sentences with endless ramblings which bears no impact on your ultimate objective. Even if you feel that more needs to be said, find ways to tell the same thing with more impact while using less words.

Simplicity should be your best friend, always.

18.  Mix it up

If you haven’t seen it in my writing yet, I try to use medium length sentences which may often be followed by shorter sentences. This helps to create a tempo. And always avoid long sentences. Always a good idea to break up long sentences into a medium length and short sentence for maximum effect.

19.  Shorter Paragraphs

Similar to the sentence length, try to work with shorter paragraphs as well. This always fosters better readability. Shorter paragraphs will also allow you to ‘lead’ the reader to any specific objective such as ‘lead capture’.

20.  Work with deadlines

I don’t mean that you should restrict your creativity or research for your content. However, setting practical deadlines will actually get you to work more efficiently. Your post schedules should always have a regular interval. This will also condition your readership base to expect fresh content from you at timely interludes.

Bottom line is that without quality content, all your SEO activities will be wasted. As I had mentioned earlier, we should attempt to reach the perfect harmony of quality content strategically peppered with your keyword(s). Keyword placement should never disturb the quality and natural tempo of the content what so ever. Keywords should always appear as a natural part of the content to the reader.

Keep in mind that your end goal is to transition your readers > prospects > customers.

For maximum effect, you will need to master the SEO techniques to be combined with quality content writing which truly appeals to the target audience. If you can achieve this, your intended success will only build over time in many folds.

HOW TO LEARN AFFILIATE MARKETING THAT PAYS OFF

HOW TO LEARN AFFILIATE MARKETING THAT PAYS OFF - Mashuk.pro

I came across a question at Quora.com yesterday where someone was seeking to find any affiliate marketing opportunities where it would be absolutely free to join and yet be able to make lots of money.

Now, I always wondered of what is the actual intent behind such type of questions. Free to join vs. anyone being able to make ANY money are two very different things.

I know that we get bombarded with claims of overnight success with many so called free online marketing or affiliate programs every day. Many of these gurus claim that there is hardly any work involved and you could simply lay back and watch the profits in thousands of dollars roll into your bank account.

The reality of all affiliate marketing is the same as any other business whether online or not. It involves serious commitment, taking massive actions, dedicated involvement, precise business planning, dynamic marketing plan, well planned budgets, highly tuned strategies, flawless execution, etc. Simply put, you need to be able to see where you want to be in 3 years from start and know how to get there.

Let me be the one to tell you that there are no short cuts to a successful and sustainable affiliate marketing business. Sure you could make some money here and there, but it will surely not be at a sustainable level of income which you can count on every week or month.

These so called ‘get rich quick’ programs are what someone else’s dreams in which they want you to join into. So how would you know whether it’s the right path for your dreams and success?

The reality of affiliate marketing is that there are a few who were able to become filthy rich, some are successful as generally speaking and most are simply struggling.

This is a clear indication that most people are simply trying to grab for the next ‘shiny object’, while certain types of people are trying to take advantage of this fact.

They are hoping that someone else will in turn give them thousands of dollars of profits while they simply sit around and do very little or nothing.

Does this statement not sounds absurd to you? Well it certainly should.

Before proceeding further, let’s have a quick look at some of the common pros and cons of online/affiliate marketing.

The Pros of Affiliate Marketing:

  1. Low cost of entry while many are free to join
  2. You do not have to create your own products
  3. No inventory to maintain
  4. No products to ship or deliver yourself
  5. You can work from anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection
  6. Income can eventually be passive depending on your marketing strategy
  7. Can initially start as additional income

The Cons of Affiliate Marketing:

  1. Need substantial amount of traffic to generate any high ticket income
  2. A bad affiliate program can damage your personal credibility
  3. Zero control over the affiliate product, service, or how it does business
  4. Some companies may not pay you when your commissions become due
  5. The better the affiliate program, the higher the competition
  6. The sales and customers will always belong to the merchant even though you had referred that customer to the merchant

Falling into the many pitfalls of the affiliate marketing programs out there can only be avoided with due diligence on your part.

Some of the Key Things to Consider are:

  1. Before starting your online business, consider and learn all that is required to make the business successful. But I should state here that you should not wait until you have learned everything before starting your business. If you do, your business will never start. Rather break it up into steps to getting your business off the ground. Making profits right off the bat is a fantasy in most cases. A series of successful events will lead you to profitability. Think of Microsoft as they launch their products and will keep on providing updates at later stages.

  2. Always choose the right affiliate program. Consider buying their products and services to judge their processes before joining their programs. Remember, you will be sending your customers to the program and any bad experience will certainly damage your reputation.

For example, I am an affiliate of NameHero and I use their hosting personally and I am comfortable with their level of service. They work very closely with me to resolve any issues and I proudly mention them here without any added interest. Your relationship with your affiliate program owners should be very similar.

  3. Be very clear on the financials such as terms of payments to you, frequencies, special conditions, etc. Also to keep in mind that you further negotiate any with them as you go based on your performance.

  4. Always be marketing. Utilize any and all traffic sources available to you free or paid to drive traffic to your offers.

  5. Start an email list. You will constantly hear that the ‘Money is in the List’. Your list will eventually become an amazing source of profits by marketing your promotions through it. Email lists are meant to be used in conjunction with an auto-responder system. There are free and paid versions of these for you to choose from.

  6. For certain promotions, consider using landing pages. They are most efficient in driving sales with this singular purpose. These days there are many options to creating landing pages even of you do not have your own website.

  7. Lastly, always monitor your campaign performances. It’s certainly worth it to monitor the stats everyday and tweak them as necessary to increase sales.

Understand that there are a few very good affiliate marketing programs to join out there. Leader of the pack may as well be Amazon. It’s absolutely free to become an affiliate at Amazon which gives you access to sell their zillions of products available online which would include your profit margins.

So the question here is that even if you sign up to a good and free affiliate program, how do you market the products well enough so that you could make a decent and sustainable income month after month?

Planning for Success

Naturally, you will need well planned business and marketing plans on how to go about making enough yearly/monthly profits based on specific sales targets. Hence, you will need to know how to manage these things the proper way. Otherwise, you are simply swimming around aimlessly and eventually drown.

For example if you decide to take the blogging route to promote your Amazon products, you will need to learn about domainshosting, WordPress, local SEO, on-page SEO, on-site SEO, meta tags, search engine ranking, landing pagesgetting traffic, keyword optimization, affiliate link trackingauto responders, sales funnel, back linking, copywritingcatchy headlines and so on and on.

Sounds like a lot of work? Well, it certainly is.

The good news is that when you have learned and  mastered how to do all that, it becomes a part of your regular work flow and will feel less and less like a lot of work.

As I had said always that there are no short cuts to a sustainable online business. It’s not going to be fast or without any great deal of effort.

My Recommendation

So here it is, my grand advice to anyone that wish to have a successful and sustainable online or affiliate business: “Invest in yourself first”.

All successful people have this one fact in common. They mastered their craft through diligent learning process which never stopped. In fact, they are always relentless about finding more and more things to learn relating to their business. They even study other successful people in their trade to learn their best traits.

Investing into yourself to take the time and effort to learn the best aspects of running your online business will certainly pay you back exponentially. Take the time to do this in the beginning rather than struggling with your online business throughout and eventually giving up.

Hope I have made my point clearly enough for you to take massive action starting right now.
