THE BASICS OF AFFILIATE MARKETING

THE BASICS OF AFFILIATE MARKETING - www.mashuk.pro

Affiliate marketing allows you to earn a commission by promoting and selling the products and services of others. It is usually a very simple process that anyone can do once they understand the basics.

It works on a referral basis, where you (the affiliate) send the interested consumers to the seller’s product pages through your own unique affiliate link. If that consumer makes a purchase, you will get a pre-agreed commission for the sale. Of course, that is a simplified statement as there is a bit more to it than that going on behind the scenes like cookies and tracking, but for the most part that is how it works.

Tip: Most decent affiliate programs will provide you with tutorials on how to create and set up your affiliate links. Such training also often includes how to place your links on your website, blog or in an email. If you need more help with this, please feel free to contact me.

One of the key advantages and my main attraction towards affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to put in the time and effort of creating a product to sell. Creating a good product to sell does take much care, research and usually a long time. Generally speaking, you can start promoting as an affiliate as soon as you are approved by the seller following a quick sign up process.

You will also need a plan for promotion, which I have discussed into details in a separate blog which can be found here.

How can I find affiliate offers to promote?

There are also many affiliate networks to find the affiliate products to promote. Different products within these networks can and usually do offer different commission levels. It’s important that you understand the terms before you invest your time, effort and money for marketing.

Many sellers offer their own affiliate programs directly from their websites while others work through the various networks. Some of the most common affiliate networks are:

JVzoo

ClickBank

ShareSale

CJ (formerly Commission Junction)

You can also promote products from mega companies such as Amazon.

These affiliate networks are very popular and offer many diverse products, which allows you to choose the types of products you may wish to focus on. As mentioned earlier, they do offer different commission structures, so make sure to fully understand how you will be paid.

For instance, on JVzoo you can earn anywhere from 10-100% of the sale. The average is 50% per sale. Sometimes the seller (vendor) will pay you instantly and other times you have to follow a payout schedule. Your payments are directly deposited into your PayPal account.

Side note: If you don’t have a PayPal account you should definitely get one because many affiliate programs have the option for pay out through them which will give you faster access to your profits. It’s free, easy and very handy.

Here is the info and sign up link: https://www.paypal.com/us/signup/account

On bigger networks like ClickBank and Amazon, you will get paid according to their thresholds and schedules. This means that you have to make a certain amount before you get your check or deposit.

Point to note is that on the big networks like Amazon, your commissions will usually starts out at a lower percentage and will increase with volume of sales over time, which means you will have to sell a lot more before you start seeing any big commissions.

With individual websites, the product owners determines the commission structure and payment schedule so again make sure you understand their terms, that they are reputable and don’t be afraid to ask them questions before you begin promoting their offers.

Whether you choose to promote products from an affiliate network or an individual website is completely up to you. The networks do offer a certain amount of protection as far as payment is concerned. However, many privately owned websites offer generous benefits to the affiliates who perform well.

I personally think a mix of different networks and websites is a good idea because it brings in different revenue streams for your business. Also be on the lookout for changing commission terms, which are not so uncommon.

How do decide which affiliate marketing offers to promote?

Variety is a good thing but when there are so many choices available to you, it can be very confusing and perhaps even intimidating.  Such is often the case when any affiliates try to make their selections regarding the best affiliate marketing program to promote.  Since the choice of an affiliate marketing program is critical to your success, find out which among the hundreds now available is the best program for you to promote.

I always recommend to promote offers that you personally like and understand the audience for that offer. The better you understand the scope and attraction of the offer, the better you would be able to target that specific audience to promote to.

Following are some criteria I would suggest for you to look for.

– The quality of the program

Always go for the affiliate marketing program that is backed up by a reliable and trustworthy team with the appropriate and sufficient knowledge about the industry.  Check the affiliate product and services as well.  Does it offer good value and are worth promoting?

You can check at AffPaying to check and find more data on most affiliate networks and also to be able to connect with the network’s affiliate manager(s).

Remember that you will be spending your own hard cash for marketing. Hence, the audience will come across your credibility first before making any buying decisions. If it’s trustworthy, then you will be viewed as such also.

– Is the affiliate product in demand?

Stay current on market demands and about the ‘hottest’ and ‘to watch out for’ products.  A simple search online will help you find out the kind of things that people are looking for and are willing to buy.  There’s a good chance an affiliate marketing program is selling that product.  When a product has a high market demand, it’s much easier to sell.

You could also find many upcoming affiliate marketing offers on many popular networks at Offer Vault.

It would be good news for you as an affiliate marketer of any hot niche program since there won’t be any backbreaking work needed just to get the product off the ground.  It will sell on its own or for a minimal effort.

– Does the program pay high commissions?

Ultimately, any affiliate’s goal in signing up for an affiliate marketing program is to earn money.  In affiliate marketing, profits come in the form of commissions – usually a percentage of the sale of the products.  Why settle for a low-paying program when there are others from which you can benefit more from given the same amount of efforts on your part?

When considering which affiliate marketing program to use, best would be to choose those that offer higher commissions.  Good rates range from about 50 percent to 75 percent.  If the program pays lower than that, you might want to reconsider.  In maximum cases I wouldn’t recommend promoting low commission offers unless you would get any other inherent value from it.

Another aspect of this is the commission itself. Is it a one-time payment per sale or is it recurring monthly commission? For subscription based offers, you may get a recurring commission per month. So be sure to be on the lookout for those types of offers as well.

I discuss such aspects on getting higher commissions in my e-book, How To Earn Riches Like A Super Affiliate. You can download it for absolutely FREE.

How To Earn Riches Like A Super Affiliate - www.mashuk.pro

>> FREE E-BOOK <<

– How does the conversion rate of the offer compare?

Conversion rate refers to the period it takes for a prospect who clicks on an affiliate site to becoming a paying customer.  In affiliate marketing, this can be notoriously fickle, with leads taking as much as 60 days before ever purchasing anything.

A good indication that a particular affiliate marketing program would be best one for you to select would be its higher conversion rate.  This means that more visitors to an affiliate’s site become buyers.  When there are more buyers, there would be more sales.

To find out about their conversion rate, you can check with the affiliate manager of the offer directly.  Some of the networks publish this information and available to you before you make your decision.  If not, best would be to test the product yourself using targeted visitors to see how well it performs. Split testing any offer is always as very good idea.

– Does the program offers full support?

This is an important criteria to look for when deciding what affiliate marketing program to use if you’re especially a beginner.  There are many programs that will offer their system and leave you on your own without checking in on your progress.

If you’re not a self-starter or are wary of affiliate marketing programs that don’t assist their affiliates, avoid these types.  Use affiliate marketing programs that provide sufficient information, training and affiliate support.  You will appreciate this extra feature in case you run into a bit of trouble later.

I recommend a training program for you to learn affiliate marketing properly from beginner to professional instead of scattered you tube videos or other sources across the Internet. It’s easy to follow using videos for very clear understanding.

Best of all it’s absolutely FREE for you to get started right now.

SHOULD STARTING AN ONLINE BUSINESS BE EXPENSIVE

Should Starting An Online Business Be Expensive - www.mashuk.pro

Is starting an online business expensive?

I get this question asked by someone or another just about every day. And my answer starts off the same way – “Whether starting and growing your online business will be expensive or not will depend entirely on your mindset and expectations”.

In one of my previous blogs, I had already elaborated on why anyone should start an online business. So, there is no practical reason to delve into that further in this blog. Rather, it would be best to discuss the practical aspects and the costs associated with them as needed to run an online business.

It’s always the mindset, an entrepreneurial mindset, which will be responsible for the success of your online business and the costs thereof. As there are several types of mainstream online businesses, my focus here will be more affiliate marketing centric as that is my chosen model of online business.

The reason affiliate marketing resonates very well with me is that I do not necessarily prefer to create products to sell. Promoting products which are already available and getting a commission per sale or action suits me just fine. This mindset also allows me to find and promote offers rather quickly, whenever I want to.

In such a business model, I always leverage on certain tools to assist me to derive the best results and profitability. I would like to highlight here that I do not have any people related expenses in my online business. Rather, I leverage on several tools and automations to run my online business 24×7.

This has been one of my cornerstone strategies even before starting out. Such a strategy helped me to identify and select any products or services to promote, which would suit me the best.

Keep in mind that just like any business, keeping costs low at the beginning stage of your online business should be your paramount concern. It is highly unlikely that you will make any significant income right from the get go.

While many people do not use their own website for their affiliate business, I deem that to be a grave mistake. It tells me that these people are simply dabblers and not very serious at all about making money online. You will find all highly successful affiliate marketers have their own website, perhaps even several websites, to use as the base of their multiple types of promotions and to build their brand(s).

All it takes is a domain name and hosting to get started with. This cost doesn’t even compare with the enormous startup costs of a traditional brick and mortar business. Design and development of a website is becoming so easy these days as compared to a decade ago.

I do all the design and development work of this website all by myself. To do this, I use WordPress (which is free by the way) and some free tools/plugins. There are zillions of YouTube videos available for you to learn from on how to do this. As many of you know that I am not a coder or developer by any stretch of the words. Yet, here I am running a very successful affiliate business online.

Email Lists

The next aspect you will need to focus on is building an email list. In addition to your website(s), you will need to grow an email list over time so that you can market anything to the people who already knows you or your brand. The more you communicate to them and offer valuable content, the more they will be prone to buying something at your suggestion.

But keep in mind that your email list consists of real people and they must be treated as such. Most modern marketers I see these days tend not to treat them with such intentions and view them as a name on their list only. Whether your subscribers buy anything or not, they are your audience and you must treat them with respect and offer them value at every turn.

In order to build this email list, you will need to subscribe to an email autoresponder service. Some such services do have some free offers limited to the number of total subscribers in your list. There may also be some restrictions on how many emails being sent per month. You should explore this to find the service that best suits your business strategy.

Using the autoresponder, you can set up a series of emails, as campaigns, to be sent out at a predetermined intervals without you having to intervene with personally. For example, anyone who would subscribed to your email list will automatically get a welcome email regardless of what time of the day or night it may be. They will continue to receive your emails from the pre-set campaign at your chosen intervals.

I have found that most autoresponder services are not friendly with the affiliate marketers. Hence, the frequency of the emails you may sent may trigger them to stop your service without any prior notice. Also a point of concern is the amount of actual emails you sent out that would actually end up in the inbox of the intended recipient rather than their spam folders.

For my business, I had chosen to work with Aweber because of their reputation and reliability. It’s also very easy to use, even for a person like me. I never had a problem with them what so ever. Their delivery rate is also one of the highest in the industry. It is however a paid service from the start. They do offer a trial period for you to try out the service and cancel if you are not satisfied.

GetResponse is another reputable autoresponder service that you could look into.

I stress again that having an email autoresponder is a key tool to impact the profitability of any type of online business.

Webinars

Webinars are a very hot promotional tool these days used by all the top online marketers. While you can hold live sessions at some of the social platforms, it is best to organize them independently for Live Casting, Event Streaming and Webinar Broadcasting for maximum level of impact with your viewers. You can also record the session for future promotions.

I use WebinarJam. It’s packed with useful features such as private rooms, virtual whiteboards, live streaming, polls, live chat, autoresponder integration, analytics, etc. For my further promotions, I use the recordings of the live webinars afterwards on social media platforms to drive more traffic to my offers.

Holding regular webinar sessions is a great way to engage with your audience regardless of whichever part of the world they may live in. I suggest to hold regular webinar sessions to any type of online businesses and not just to affiliate marketers.

Affiliate Platforms

I always suggest to find the products or services to promote through a credible affiliate platform rather than signing up with any specific merchant directly. For a wide range of products and services for you to promote, I recommend ShareASale and CJ. My recommended platforms for info products are JVZoo, Warrior Plus and Clickbank.

Using such platforms are free of cost. Personally, I tend to sign up first for the products I intend to promote, even if it’s for a trial run, so that I could familiarize myself with it before I start to promote it. Often this way you will incur some costs but my advice to you will be to know the products first hand before you start to promote to your audience.

Marketing Your Affiliate Links

Marketing is a vast topic and I have already covered some popular ways in my previous blogs here. Yet, you will need to do a very critical thing before you start marketing your links. Whether you are promoting your own product links or affiliate links, your primary intention should be to always capture the email addresses of the visitors.

You will need to have an email capture form in a page where the visitors will enter their names and email addresses in order to proceed onwards to the actual offer page. Often these capture pages are called the landing page, bridge page, squeeze page, sales page, etc.

This can be developed with the help of certain free plug-ins if you are using WordPress. Just be sure that the plug-in integrates with whichever autoresponder you may be using. There are other service providers who can provide you with the bridge pages such as ClickFunnels, Builderall, TheConversionPros, etc.

Having captured the email addresses is simply the beginning of the marketing process. I had always said that there is a right way of doing things and just about hundreds of wrong ways of doing things. I discussed this in details in my e-book, How To Earn Riches Like A Super Affiliate.

You can download the e-book for absolutely free from this site and get the detailed information from there on this. No need to repeat all of that info here again.

One thing I will mention here as a reinforcement is that ideally there should be two types of affiliate programs you should be promoting. The first is a program that which gives you a monthly recurring income. The second should be a high ticket affiliate program which would give you a greater level of commission from every sale through you.

Marketing high ticket programs could take a bit of work but it certainly isn’t rocket science. There aren’t many such programs out there and finding the right one for you should be a priority level task.

Learning and Training

The one constant for any online business is that the learning never stops. You can always learn something new to improve your business and profits. You can always find some content at YouTube to learn from. However, you should have a way to learn how to become successful with your online business in a more methodical way. Bits and pieces of learning in YouTube is just that. All training should be done in a systematic way by credible sources with a proven track record.

I always recommend my 100 days challenge which has a lot of methodical tips and a systematic approaches for anyone who wants to fast track their learning while they also are able to earn. Give it a try for free today.

You should always set aside a budget for any training at least annually. You will always appreciate it and be rewarded by it.

In summary, it always boils down to your mindset. As you can see that there are certain absolute expenses involved to get started, yet there are some free options also. Somethings can be done very well using the free options while somethings should be absolutely done with proven tools.

Even from the very start you should always target a six figure income. As such, certain small expenses for some essential tools should be budgeted for even if your income hasn’t yet started. Investing into such tools will fast track the growth of your online business and create very profitable conversions.

WHY YOU SHOULD START YOUR OWN ONLINE BUSINESS

Start Online Business

You have probably heard about a friend of a friend or co-worker’s second cousin who has made it big in the world of online business. Or maybe you have read about a young girl fresh out of college who is successfully running her own Amazon store and making big bucks despite having a degree completely unrelated to business.

Now, if you are interested in business and particularly online business, you are bound to know that many types of online business/ marketing sectors has flourished over the past few years. While some are more known, many are not quite in the spotlight yet but nevertheless are making big money.

For example, from the perspective of private consumers around the world, the most renowned form of e-commerce falls under the business to consumer category which is more commonly abbreviated as B2C. Online retail or online retail is a part of this category.

You may also know that B2B marketing in the online space refers to the marketing cycle of a business marketing to other businesses and naturally implies buying in bulk. An example of this can be seen in most cases of the products marketed in Alibaba as sold in bundles and lots.

The brand named Amazon is certainly an example we are all familiar with as an e-retailer giant which is one of the most formidable and well known online retailers with a profit of  $1.86 billion in net income in the fourth quarter of last year itself.

During last year, approximately 1.66 billion people from all over the globe have taken part in purchasing goods online. Moreover, in that same year, worldwide e-commerce sales added up to be 2.3 trillion U.S. dollars and projections and predictions display an estimated rise of 4.48 trillion dollars by the year 2021.

If we take into account of regional sales, in the Asia Pacific in 2016, e-retail sales have accounted for 12.1 percent of the total retail sales In Asia Pacific, see: e-retail sales accounted for 12.1 percent of retail sales.

The statistics clearly show that so many people these days belonging to a wide swing of demographics are willingly participating in the online business and e-commerce communities. Such participation trend has been on a steady rise for both business owners as well as consumers.

The barrier to entry is rather low and it is quite easy to quickly turn a small home business into a profitable online business enterprise. A decent number of people from all over the world are entering the online industry as the days pass, and can seem obvious as to why you too should consider starting your own online business!

Become Your Own Boss

First and foremost, when you own an online business, you truly are the one in charge. You would clearly become your own boss. There are no bureaucratic processes preventing you from taking decisions and actions which you may deem fit for your business. There are no binding timelines and you are free to do things at your pace. You don’t have to worry about office politics, work hard on projects you don’t care about or spend time with co-workers you don’t like.

Moreover, when you become the boss, you’re also most likely to work harder to achieve your financial goals. Your business will unfold and operate at a pace you are comfortable with.

Now at a first glance, it can seem intimidating to start such an initiative, especially if you are new to the online business scene.

However, if you have at least some decent amount of funds available and work on educating yourself properly about the various levels of online business, there’s nothing holding you back from starting a small online based business for yourself. With hard work and self-confidence, you can certainly achieve financial freedom.

Free from the opinions of others, you can find successful people in many types of online business across the world irrespective of gender, race, colour or creed.

Put Your Energy Into Your Own Project

Most of the times, we are assigned projects at our jobs that we have to force ourselves to work on. Our time, energy and creativity are all wasted working on someone else’s projects. At the end of the day, this can become unrewarding and we may end up losing interest in work altogether. Thus our motivation and productivity eventually takes a nose dive.

Instead, imagine how much progress you could make if you were pouring the same amount of time and energy into your own online business. Imagine how much more satisfying and rewarding it would feel if you were working hard to earn a profit for yourself instead of just a paycheck.

You would certainly feel a lot more accomplished if you spend time building up to something for yourself. It’s one of the strongest reasons why small business owners don’t give up during the tough times and why more and more younger employees are choosing to take the entrepreneur route.

The growth and failure of your business will depend entirely on your own efforts and the level of commitment. You truly have complete control of your business.

The Internet of Today Is a Gold Mine

In this day and age, we’re at a peak of technological advancement. With machine learning and artificial intelligence technology improving by leaps and bound while more and more smart home devices penetrating our homes, it is safe to say that the Internet has weaved itself into our daily lives more than we realize.

Thus using the internet to start your own online business can only be the best decision in a world where there are more smartphones than toothbrushes.

It is now easier than ever to make a profit online and the wisest move would be to make the best use of the so many online business options available to you, as you start out.

However, making money on the internet is only possible if you do your research well and take the time to educate yourself properly. The best way to do that is through proper and selective mentor-ship and coaching, which is readily available through the Internet. Geographical distances should never stop you from learning online business/marketing.

Also before jumping into any type of business, it is always prudent to be well informed on your topic of interest. It is absolutely essential to make researching a part of your work habit as it will certainly affect your financial future.

Even if starting an online business sounds like a lot of work, the best thing about the internet is that it can teach you with an abundance of information available online. Join relevant communities to learn and connect with like minded peers.

You’re certainly not limited to simply opening a website promoting your brick and mortar business or generating ads on Facebook. There are many other things to invest your time in such as specialized forums, various social media, apps, blogs, software, web tools, e-commerce, etc.

There is a lot of gold to be found in the deep pits of the Internet, you just have to know where and how to dig. It’s a shame that most people only learns the bare minimum and don’t continue the process in the long run.

Barriers to Entry are Very Low

Say you want to start a clothing store showcasing vintage clothes from a certain decade. There are two ways to set foot in the business.

You could take the traditional route and start a brick and mortar business –rent a building, hire salespeople and spend thousands of dollars on initial renovations and utilities to maintain your store.

There’s also a ton of paperwork to get through – red tape as the economists call it. You have to pay for delivery, talk to a zillion people, look through hundreds of insurance options and so on. There is also the limitation of operating hours.

With brick and mortar stores, apart from spending on establishing the physical business, there is a huge cost on advertising and events to send foot traffic to the business. You can’t just open a clothing store and expect people to show up on their own.

On the other hand, if you invest in an e-commerce website instead, you can forego the expenses for lease/rent of the store, renovations, vehicles, insurance, fire code compliance, utilities, etc. You don’t have to worry about decorating your storefront to make it eye-catching or hiring salespeople and train them to service the customers.

Instead, the money could be used to rent a more cost-effective inventory warehouse. The products can be shipped to your customers within a few days and if you are smart with your decisions, you can find a shipping company which suits your financial needs to match the needs of your customers.

The barriers to entry in the online business industry are very low. All you need to start up a site is a domain name and a reputable hosting service. There are, of course, certain costs such as outsourcing to a designer, content writers, and web developers to make your website look polished, but even that is a lot lower than the cost of starting a brick and mortar business. Even for brick and mortar businesses, online presence these days is a must. Do keep in mind that much of these costs are an one time investment and not monthly recurring costs.

The biggest advantage of online retails is that customers can select products within a few minutes. They can look through pictures of your online collections to quickly choose a product no matter how far away they may be.

Online stores are also easier to advertise. Through sharing your various product links to your target audience(s), they can view the products at their leisure and in turn share the same product details to their friends and family all at the click of a button.

You can easily advertise your online business in social media and forums and even to create apps to support your site. Promotion becomes a lot more cost effective and would deliver a tremendous ROI which would propel your business to grow at a much faster rate as opposed to the traditional brick and mortar model.

Customers can visit your site and  place orders from anywhere and anytime. Your store operates 24×7 and never closes.

Similarly, you could oversee the orders being processed from anywhere just by using your laptop or smartphone. It will only take a few clicks for any customer to interact with your automated processes to arrange any fulfillment requirements, such as to arrange delivery of any physical goods to even the other side of the country.

How About Online Marketing?

Another exciting fact is that even if you do not have your own products to sell online, there is the option for you to market products and services of others. You can join certain sites/platforms for absolutely free to do this while certain options may be a paid service.

Such type of online marketing is also commonly known as affiliate marketing.

Some popular platforms to work with are Shareasale, AdmitadJVZoo, Commission Junction,  ClickBank, etc. You can select products from a niche that may appeal to you and market them through paid or free advertising means.

You can also avail a range of marketing tools such as email autoresponders, funnels, webinars, affiliate link tracking, etc. from their respective providers in order to strengthen your marketing campaigns and create better conversion rates.

Another popular way to do online marketing is through creating your own BLOGs. It’s not at all as complex as it may sound at first. All you need is a domain name and a good hosting service to get started.

I prefer to use WordPress as my blogging platform for its versatility, super useful plug-ins and zillions of free themes to choose from. If you choose to explore this option further, you can find my detailed BLOG on this topic here.

There are also other affiliate marketing programs which coaches you step by step to become a highly profitable marketer. These programs will offer many aspects of coaching and mentoring which is otherwise not included with other types of platforms mentioned above.

You can also pick up a free e-book on my recommended program, which I have personally authored and in turn have helped hundreds of people just like you to achieve their financial freedom.

You Have a Lot More Flexibility

Even though this factor depends largely on which type of online business you choose, you are likely to have more flexibility in your schedule when you run an online business as compared to any traditional businesses. Having the luxury of time freedom is one of the key promises of any successful online business.

Since you are your own boss, you can choose what time of the day you want to work or how many hours of work you want to get done every week. You can even choose your own holidays and don’t have to worry about sick leaves since you’re possibly working from home anyway.

However, just because you have more control over your time doesn’t mean you should use this time to lay back and relax. Even though you have more flexibility and the opportunity to be comfortable, you should always invest in yourself by learning more ways to boost your business.

The big advantage that comes with working from home at your own pace is that you can work at the hours when you’re the most productive. Research has shown that is more useful to work in the hours when you feel more energized and productive than working more hours per day.

Moreover, having a flexible schedule allows you more time to spend doing things you enjoy other than work. You can make more time for your family, your hobbies, traveling, catching up with friends and do all the things your job had held you back from.

The same way that your customers can order from anywhere, you also have the opportunity to work from anywhere you like. You do not have to sit at a desk all day in a dull office environment and could take your laptop and go wherever you feel is comfortable (like the beach) and run your business. You are not tied down to any one location and the frequent change of scenery may be refreshing for your creativity.

Unlimited Income Potential

When you own any online business, your profit and income are not being decided by the number of hours you work per day. Rather it largely depends on how well your have implemented certain processes and automation you have in place to service your site visitors.

Second factor to consider is how much demand  is in the marketplace for your products or services. If these two factors are in your favour, it’s simply a matter of driving customers, otherwise known as traffic, to your website through various means of online marketing.

More your business is automated, the more time you will have on your hand. This is a very important fact to consider. Having time at your disposal can mean more practical opportunities to grow your business profits and eventually perhaps to start a second online business.

Your income would by no means be limited or fixed by any of the restrictions or scope of any traditional business. The key asset for online business is your knowledge and apply it to strategize, develop processes, automate customer service points and servicing customer demands.

At start it can be a lot of hard work, however, the work is very specific and targeted. If done properly at the early stages, all your hard work should yield an income flow which would be more or less expected. Naturally, your work load should become much less while profits grow higher over time.

Social Media Can Be Used For Free and Paid Promotions

Social media and search marketing, when used in a proper manner can help you skyrocket sales for your online business. Studies demonstrate that there has been a huge growth in the local, mobile search volumes over the past few years. Google also confirms the fact that more than 50 percent of mobile questions are local.

Therefore, it makes perfect sense to learn how to use your social profiles, pages and groups to connect with your potential buyers and provide detailed information and your products and services through these platforms.

There are three major types of content you have in your arsenal when it comes to driving any social media marketing campaigns:

  • Written, Video and Images

The following are 6 social marketing tips that can help you improve your sales:

Twitter and Facebook are two of the most visited social media sites with billions of users. By using customer-focused updates on these platforms you can easily connect with your buyers and communicate with them with just a few clicks. Content, timing, and engagement are essential to make the best use of these sites and achieve access to a wide spread of audiences.

The basic things you can do to increase engagement is post quality content on your site and social media on a regular basis. It could be in the form of questions, photos, and/or infographics related to your business. Sometimes you can also post articles and links to other sites to make your page more interesting and relevant.

However, you need to make sure that you aren’t spamming your customers with poorly designed posts which delivers no inherent value to them.

It would be beneficial for you to hire a graphics designer to create animations and infographics for your page. These are easily shareable by your visitors to their pages and groups.

There are also more budget friendly options these days for creating animations and images yourself. Keep in mind that the more professional your page looks, the more willing any potential customers would be to interact with you. Another thing that can be done is to run contests and competitions. That way, there will be more customer engagements. Your posts will be shared between people and automatically be advertised by your existing and potential customers.

If you have the resources for it, you could also use YouTube to your advantage. You could open a YouTube page related to your online business and post videos frequently.

Even if you are camera shy, you can find many marketers these days are posting videos without even showing their faces. Make sure to link the videos in your Facebook and Twitter profiles to make them easier to find.

Moreover, Instagram is another huge social media platform that you can use easily. When it comes to this platform, aesthetics is everything. Try your best to create visually pleasing feed which will captivate the visitors to your page. Here you could also further personalize your feed along with your products and services.

You should also host regular promotions and offers to boost the engagement levels of existing customers and at the same time to attract new ones.

By increasing engagement and advertisement through social media, you can generate an increased flow of revenue and find more customers than you could’ve with regular ads in brick and mortar business.

In conclusion, starting an online business may be daunting at first but it can also be extremely liberating and adventurous. You can start with very little resources and very quickly earn a lot of profits and exponentially grow in an industry which has risen straight out of the technological era.

Even if you’re doubtful about your success, you should remember that if you never try you’ll never know. So why not take a chance and stake your claim even if for the sake of adventure and excitement. There’s no harm in it if you educate yourself well enough. Maybe the online business world will pleasantly surprise you and you will be one of the success stories your friends and relatives tell their friends about.

HOW TO EARN BITCOIN EVERYDAY FOR FREE

Earn free Bitcoin

The surge of Bitcoin ushered in the age of the crypto-currencies worldwide. Many Forex experts are offering their best opinions (whether positive or negative) on the news, TV shows, YouTube, websites, etc. just about every waking hour.

This phenomenon of amassing bitcoins led to many of us waking up to the fact that many people across the world have become millionaires and billionaires almost overnight just by having started to mine or invest in Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies at a time when almost none of the experts considered to give any time on the subject.

Are Crypto Currencies Still Profitable?

This leads to the question, have the rest of us missed the boat? Is it still possible to become rich from trading Cryptos? Well, that depends on your goals and views on what you wish to achieve for your financial freedom in the long run. Keep in mind that even with all the hype & temptations surrounding any of the cryptos, it stills exhibits a highly volatile nature and is absolutely unregulated.

But when has such conditions stood in the way of ambition of the bold?

If you haven’t taken the plunge yet or just not been able to navigate fully around a game plan to properly go about the crypto route, there are basically two ways to get started. One way is to simply invest in the crypto market with the similar strategies and methodologies of any day trader or stock broker. This option is certainly open to you if you have a good deal of extra cash laying around at your disposal. Educate yourself on the nature and different types of cryptos, exchanges, trading, etc. You could even hire someone with appropriate background to assist you to get started.

What are the Investment Options?

But what if you don’t have much of any extra cash laying around to invest with? How do you get your hands on any type of crypto? In this case, you simply have one option and that is to ‘mine’ for cryptos or more to the point, Bitcoin. Yes, mining for this valuable form of digital currency is an option. In fact, it is the oldest option. Trading in the exchanges had only gained momentum in the recent years.

If you want to start mining Bitcoin very aggressively, you will need to invest in some tech gears to maximize your output. Unfortunately you will need to understand your running cost of electricity, cost of the GPUs, building a computer, etc. If you have some sort of hardware and tech related background, it would be rather easy for you to understand this part of the process.

How Can I Start Mining Without Investing?

But what if you are neither a tech person nor with access to any finances to invest into any lavish tech gears? Then I would suggest you consider the IT gears you may have at your disposal already. Depending on their specs, it just maybe enough to get you started and to keep going until you build up enough Bitcoins to start trading.

If you can and want to rather connect to that type of a scenario, strap yourself in for the long mining run for none other than Bitcoins, the king of the cryptos. Your current laptop, any older PC at home or even a good smart device may be enough to get you started.

The following are the basic steps to get you started.

Head over to CryptoTab Browser by clicking here.

Once there, please read through the page, before doing anything, to familiarize yourself on the features of this awesome browser. This should take only a few minutes. You can then click on the ‘Download CryptoTab Browser’ button.

Once installed, you will need to then click on the ‘Activate Affiliate Account’ button. You can then simply sign in with any of your social ID. You will be then taken into your dashboard area, which is very self explanatory. You can choose to import all your settings and bookmarks from any of your other browsers (Chrome, Edge, etc.). I choose to use the Crypto Browser as a stand alone browser and let it mine Bitcoin uninterrupted. There is nothing further to download or install and you are good to go at this point. Important thing is to make sure that you are logged in, which can be seen in the upper right hand corner of the page.

How Can I Track the Mining Progress?

On the upper right hand side of the browser, you can see an icon of the CryptoTab Browser. Click on that and another tab will open in the browser. This tab will show you the live status of your mining progress including the current hash rates. The ideal hash rate would be higher than 75H/s, but this would depend on the config of your gear.

How can I Promote My Affiliate Link?

You will also find that there is also an affiliate link there which is unique to you. You can share this link in the social platforms, emails, etc. to get your friends to also start mining Bitcoin the same way you are. The more friends join through that link, the more affiliate commissions you can earn in addition to your own mining revenues.

There are more promotional materials for you to use and options to customize your affiliate links in the ‘Promo’ tab of your dashboard.

I would suggest mining on a smart device (phones, tablets, etc.) only if you are sporting very good specs. Also, I would’t suggest using this smart device for mining if it is your daily driver as the mining process may place a good deal of stress on the device’s hardware.

Once again, I offer you caution that all crypto-currencies can be volatile in nature and are still unregulated. This BLOG offers no financial advise. Hence please use your best judgement in mining and trading of any crypto-currencies, including Bitcoin.

I do offer you the best of luck. May your crypto journey be a prosperous one.

BLOGGING YOUR WAY TO PROFITS

Blogging Your Way To Profits - www.mashuk.pro

Blogging has been the tip of the spearhead of content marketing since many years now. In fact, so many bloggers have been able to monetize their blogs enough to make a full time and predictable income year after year. I personally realize that I should have started this blog site a few year ago and not put it off for later.

As you may be aware that there are many aspects of blogging. To keep in line with this site, I will focus more on the online business aspect of blogging and how you could generate and optimize your income from blogging. Naturally, your results based on my recommendations will vary based on so many aspects of your own efforts and general online behaviors of your readership.

I tend to break up any blog content into two different categories. They are ‘news’ and ‘evergreen’.

Blogging content as news

With these types of blogs, I do not mean to only imply where mainstream news is presented as news blogs. It could also be any variety of activities which are reported in the blog for people who may be interested in that topic. These type of news blogs are mostly on current events and will wear out its popularity in a relatively short period of time.

Often you could find bloggers offering the details of their day to day experiences such as having an English breakfast in the morning in a specific café overlooking the beach area. This would be considered news to the interested readership who may be following that particular blogger on a daily basis.

People often tend to also write similar types of blogs of their pets, travels, new tech they just bought, shopping, making new friends, graduations, etc. You could also find people blogging about a specific news event and adding to it their point of view or expertise.

So, news type of content blogging usually highlights the blogger who is sharing his/her experiences. Or it revolves around a specific topic, such as ‘Life in London’. More than often you may also come across blogs which combines both these aspects, such as ‘My life in London’.

One advantage of such type of blogging is that you should hardly ever be stuck for any subject within the topic to write on. There is always something or another happening to write about. These blogs are usually not very long and around 500 words with some pictures and/or short videos.

Evergreen content for blogging

Evergreen content is quite the reverse spectrum of the news type of blogging. Such type of blogging aims to retain the popularity of the content for a very long time, perhaps even a few years.

The inherent strength of evergreen content is that they remain relevant to the interested readership for years to come. These types of blogs are always written to wrap around a specific niche in mind.

Once a niche is selected, various blogs are then written highlighting many specific aspects of that niche. For example, the niche can be ‘soccer’. The blogs written around that niche can be rules of the game, popular clubs, tournaments, worldcup events, etc.

These blogs will tend to be longer and more detailed with all the relevant information. For example, a blog about worldcup could mention the biggest worldcup years, background on the organizers, some of the host country demographics, specs on many key stadiums, pictures of the approved soccer balls for the event throughout the years, some of the legendary players over time, highlights of some historical games, etc.

The recommended length for such types of evergreen blogs are at least 2000 words. Pictures and videos are also encouraged to make the posts even more engaging.

Others have categorized evergreen content further as response posts, cornerstone posts, etc. For the purpose of this post, further classifications of the evergreen content in not necessary and is fully covered on how to monetize them.

Monetize your traffic

Monetizing the traffic to the blog site should be a major target for any blogger.

For the news type of blogging sites, this usually would not amount to much over any length of time. There would surely be a flurry of visits/traffic initially over weeks or even months, if it is a popular blog site. Hence constantly marketing the site, usually with paid traffic, would need to be a daily and ongoing activity. Monetizing the traffic nevertheless should be part of the income strategy.

On the other hand, evergreen type of blogging sites tend to receive less traffic on the short term but should generate a substantial amount of traffic over time. My recommendation to at least start out with 10 well written and detailed posts (over 2000 words). Keep on adding to them over time as you move forward.

Monetizing through Affiliate Marketing

All bloggers are recommended to have an affiliate account with Amazon.com. Amazon has a very good affiliate program for which anyone could sign up for from anywhere in the world.

The best thing about Amazon is that any blogger could find at least some products related to their niche and subjects. Hence, they could share a link (or multiple links) out to Amazon from all posts they write regardless of the subject.

Of course, depending on your niche, you could readily find more affiliate programs to join and promote through your posts. Your profits could vary greatly depending on the affiliate program(s) you choose to promote.

Affiliate Marketers - www.mashuk.pro
Affiliate Marketers – www.mashuk.pro

Some popular affiliate sites are ShareaSale, Clickbank, JVZoo, CJ, Admitad, etc. There are many affiliate advertisers available through these sites for you to select and promote.

Both evergreen and news content writers can benefit from promoting selective affiliate links in all their posts.

Monetizing through your own products

It is always recommended to have your own product(s) to promote through your blog posts. At the starting phase, this maybe too involved and expensive of an option for you. However, this should most definitely be a part of your long term income strategy.

Your own product could also be in the form of a service which you could provide. For example, if your niche is ‘antiques’ you could offer an ‘appraisal service’. As long as your offered service is not too alienated from your niche and post subjects, it should be fine.

As for products, it can either be an information product or even a physical product. In some cases, you could even further plug in a service to your offering as well. For example, if your niche is about ‘pianos’, your info product could be ‘How to select a piano’ while your physical product could be a ‘piano polish’ and finally you could offer a ‘piano moving service’.

This sort of monetization is also recommended for both evergreen and news content writers. However, this method is easier to monetize for evergreen content writers.

Combine all options

Your goal eventually should be to be able to monetize your overall blogging site from all the options presented to you above. Of course until you have your own products to suit the purpose, you should lean heavily on your affiliate promotions. For example, at the end of every post, you could surely recommend a book or product on the post subject from Amazon.

What about doing SEO?

The key element to monetizing your traffic is indeed through SEO or Search Engine Optimization. If done successfully, this fact alone will drive all the traffic you will need to your site, especially for all evergreen content. The best part of it is that you can get all that traffic to your site at free of cost!

So yes, learning proper SEO techniques with the aim to promote your blog site should be a paramount task for you. Getting a certain volume of free traffic, also known as organic traffic, could potentially vault your site to the number one position in the search results for specific keywords related to your niche.

Of course if you have the budget for it, by all means you could do paid campaigns to boost your traffic much sooner. However for the sake of efficiency, I would recommend to have someone professional to optimize your blog site for SEO, so that you do not waste your time and hard earned money.

Planning your SEO in general actually starts even before you launch your site. It starts at the time you are selecting your niche. Simply visit Google Trends and type in the niche you wish to work with. Based on the popularity of that niche/keyword vs. the level of competition, you will need to finalize your niche to work on.

You could even type in your blog subject lines there to get a feel for demand. Ideal would be to select niches and subjects with higher popularity vs. low competition. This will ensure that you will quickly climb through the search engine ranks and eventually establish yourself as a subject matter expert in your niche.

Do keep in mind that doing SEO for organic or free traffic is a long term strategy. You will not be ranked overnight by any means. For example, it will take at least three to six months for your new blog site to even get ranked. If you are blogging evergreen content, you should see a steady rise in the rankings after that initial period.

So many people do not seem to understand this fact and simply give up blogging before that initial period of six months.

Which blogging platform should I choose?

Just to let you know that I am extremely partial towards WordPress.org. This particular site was built on the WordPress platform.

WordPress logo - www.mashuk.pro
WordPress logo – www.mashuk.pro

The very first reason being that I am not a coder or programmer. WordPress does not need me to code anything for me to start and operate my blogs.

Secondly, there is usually a plug-in available for just about any additional functionality anyone may require for their blog. For example, anyone could sign-up to receive my newsletters at this site and be automatically be included in my third party newsletter emailing service. I did this using only a plug-in where zero coding was required.

WordPress is also inherently very Google SEO friendly. This platform was designed to be as such. This fact is certainly a key consideration for me when I was starting out. I also do not have much time during the day to do any intensive marketing for my site. However, I do use an additional plug-in to be even more SEO friendly. You can also choose from several user friendly SEO plug-ins, if you choose to use WordPress.

There are also zillions of themes to choose from when setting up your WordPress site. You can also change these themes at a later stage simply at the push of a button.

Getting support from WordPress is also very easy and available. WordPress offers a wealth of documentations to address any common concerns. Further, if you require any programmer to assist you at any time, there is an arsenal of freelancers for you to choose from any popular freelancing sites.

Over 25% of all websites in the world are in fact WordPress sites. So the platform is not only blogging friendly, but can be purposed for just about anything.

Of course there are other options available which have their own merits. I would recommend for you to look into these other options as well to suit your needs best.

What about hosting?

Many people fail at this and usually end up choosing a cheap hosting option to start out with. Nothing is actually wrong with selecting a cheaper hosting company but you should do your due diligence before selecting your hosting on price point alone.

Your site’s down times and loading speeds will certainly affect your search rankings. This will in turn affect your revenue adversely. So, the money you had thought which you had saved in hosting will in fact cost you a lot more in the long term. It’s always wise to select a good hosting company right from the very start.

Very important to track your links

Another important thing most bloggers skip doing is that they do not track their links. These are all the links to your products, your affiliate links, funnels, etc. Unless you track the performance of your links, you will not truly understand how your readership is reacting to our offers or promotions.

Track Your Links - www.mashuk.pro
Track Your Links – www.mashuk.pro

You definitely will need to replace your non-converting or low performing promotions with newer and better ones. Constant monitoring is needed to weed out the weaker promotions in order to maximize your profits from the same number of site visitors.

For example, you need to know why some people who are clicking on your affiliate link to get to the affiliate landing page and ultimately are not converting. If you would know this information, you have some choices to explore. In this case, it would seem that you had warmed them up enough to the offer for them to click the affiliate link but when they come across the affiliate landing page, something or another prevents them from buying.

Your choices could be to change your link to a different yet similar program, rewrite your content to explain the offer more or request assistance from your affiliate partner to give you a more customized landing page (otherwise known as co-branded) to encourage your readers better, etc.

So you can see that much potential income could be missed out on, IF, you do not do link tracking. Also, without such tracking, you are simply burning through your traffic and leads without any desired level of conversions.

I hope this post will help you to boost your profits from your blogs. I welcome any questions or comments you may have on this post.

HOW ONLINE ADVERTISING CAN EQUAL BIG PROFITS

Online Advertising - www.mashuk.pro

Online advertising campaigns are the best ways to gather leads and scale your business fast. It can target extremely localized to global reaches based on your intent. But please understand that all online advertising mediums are not the same.

Based on the type of your business and the type of ads you wish to use for promotions can yield different results on various advertising campaigns. Also, your budget often plays a major factor on where you wish to advertise your products or services.

As I am an online business entrepreneur, I will stick to the online advertising mediums and how to eventually generate substantial profits from them in this post, as appropriate.

Generally speaking, you will hear of the two major online advertising platforms as Facebook and Google. Frankly speaking, if you could master these two platforms, you will need to look no further. Having said that, other platforms include YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit, Craigslist, etc. You could also have a look into my previous post on paid and free traffic sources.

I will proceed to discuss only Google & Facebook here as I feel these are the most relevant platforms to facilitate the purposes of this specific post on mostly paid online advertising sources.

My preferred online advertising platform of the two has always been Google. This is because that any ads which are shown only based on the search results for keywords which anyone would be searching for at any given time. Hence, all the ad campaigns should be designed with specific keywords in mind which best serves your purpose including your budgets.

I am sure you have guessed it already that the keywords would then be a major consideration for your budgets. Also to note here that the same keywords would have different costs associated with them at various different geographical settings. For example, the same keyword ‘insurance attorney’ would have different costs for USA, India, Brazil, Nigeria, etc.

I believe you get the point. The lowest a keyword could potentially cost would be $0.01, however this would be highly improbable.

There are also several other factors which impacts the costs, but I will address those in a future post in details. Google is also revamping their advertising platforms and services. Let me run through the key points of these changes for the purpose of clarity.

Online advertising changes with Google

Google launched AdWords nearly 18 years ago with a simple goal, to make it easier for people to connect online with businesses from which they are looking for any products or services. Anyone searching for even simple things like car detailing shop, pet care facilities, drawing supplies, organic foods or even for a service like a lawn mowing services gave Google an opportunity to deliver valuable ads that were actually useful and relevant at that specific moment. That type of an idea was the start of their first advertising product which led to the ads business Google offers today.

Needless to say that a lot has changed since then. Mobile is now a huge part of our everyday lives. People quickly switch from searching for products, to watching videos, browsing content, playing games and more. As a result, marketers have more opportunities to reach consumers across channels, screens and formats.

Advertising on Google has evolved tremendously as well. From helping marketers connect with people searching on Google and by helping them to connect at every step of the consumer journey. As the opportunity to engage consumers has grown and become more complex, Google is always trying to match the momentum by simplifying their products for advertisers and publishers of all sizes so they can more easily reach consumers anywhere, at any moment and on any channel.

That’s why Google is now introducing new brands for their advertising products: Google Ads, Google Marketing Platform, and Google Ad Manager. These new brands reflect all of the ways that Google could help advertisers connect with consumers and make it easier for advertisers and publishers to choose which products are right for their businesses. Further as a part of this move, Google is releasing new solutions that would help advertisers get started with Google Ads and drive collaboration across teams.

Google AdWords is becoming Google Ads

The new Google Ads brand represents the full range of advertising capabilities which Google can find today on Google.com and across their other properties, partner sites and apps to help online businesses connect with the billions of people finding answers on Search, watching videos on YouTube, exploring new places on Google Maps, discovering apps on Google Play, browsing content across the web, and more.

For small businesses specifically who are not doing online advertising at the moment, Google is introducing a new campaign type in Google Ads which will make it easier than ever to get started with online advertising. It brings the machine learning technology of Google Ads to small businesses and helps them get results without any heavy lifting, so that they can stay focused on running their businesses at all time.

Stronger collaboration with Google Marketing Platform

Google is also enabling stronger collaboration for enterprise marketing teams by unifying their DoubleClick advertiser products and the Google Analytics 360 Suite under a single brand: Google Marketing Platform.

Already some marketers have remarked that there are real benefits to using ads and analytics technology together, including a better understanding of customers and better business results. Google Marketing Platform helps online businesses to achieve their goals by building on existing integrations between the Google Analytics 360 Suite and DoubleClick Digital Marketing. The platform helps marketers plan, buy, measure and to optimize digital media and customer experiences in one place.

As part of the Google Marketing Platform, Google has announced Display & Video 360. Display & Video 360 brings together features from DoubleClick Bid Manager, Campaign Manager, Studio and Audience Center to allow creative, agency, and media teams to collaborate and execute ad campaigns end-to-end in a single place. Google will share more details about Display & Video 360 in time.

Google Ad Manager: A unified platform

Google recognized that the way publishers monetize their content has changed. With people accessing content on multiple screens, and with advertisers’ growing demand for programmatic access, publishers need to be able to manage their businesses more simply and efficiently. That’s why for the last three years, Google has been working to bring together DoubleClick for Publishers and DoubleClick Ad Exchange in a complete and unified programmatic platform under a new name, Google Ad Manager.

Google Ad Manager - www.mashuk.pro
Google Ad Manager – www.mashuk.pro

With such an evolution, Google is rather excited to do even more for their partners by earning them more money, more efficiently, wherever people are watching videos, playing games or engaging with content, and also in any which way the advertisers are looking to work with them.

Transparency and controls people can trust

Google knows what the media and technology advertisers and publishers choose to use will impact the relationships they have with their customers. Google’s commitment is to ensure that all of their products and platforms set the industry’s highest standards in giving people transparency and choice in the ads they see. For example, Google recently announced new Ads Settings and expanded ‘Why this ad?’ across all of their services, and almost all websites and apps that partner with them to show ads.

Even after launching these new services, I am sure they will keep on optimizing them for a while to better serve the customers and partners.

What about online advertising with Facebook?

As with many online business professionals, I share a very similar view with Facebook ads. Success with advertising on Facebook will primarily depend on geography. If your target country or geography has a very high level of users who accesses Facebook on a daily basis, only then you could expect the best results with Facebook advertising.

Online Advertising with Facebook - www.mashuk.pro
Online Advertising with Facebook – www.mashuk.pro

If you do this research within the Facebook Ads Manager, the number you will see there is the number of total users for that country or area. You should do this research independently to get a clear idea of how many active daily users there are for your particular country or area of interest.

Unlike Google, whereas a person maybe actively searching for your product or services, Facebook will actually display your ads to people who may fit your preferred demography, location, affinities, etc. So, it is possible to cover a very large segment of targeted people without achieving the desired results.

Also do keep in mind that Facebook is a social network whereas people in general are logging onto it to do some socializing. Running across any ads will need to be a highly compelling experience to jerk any immediate reactions out of them. Most ads Facebook users come across are simply ignored.

Although what I am saying about Facebook ads may seem a bit negative, that is not my intention here at all. I am simply trying to point out that both Google and Facebook are the most viable online advertising platform while both demand a very different mindset to create and implement any ad campaigns.

Also to consider that you could have some very good options for you to use in Facebook in addition to having your own website to promote. You could create fan pages in Facebook for your business and post your offers there for others to see and engage with.

You could also create or join groups where you could not only promote your own business but also see what your peers are doing to promote their businesses. Your groups can be moderated as you may wish to and even decide who can join or not.

With your fan pages and groups, you can create or even reinforce your brand easily at a very personal level with others. But do keep in mind that I had mentioned earlier that this is a social network. So, the more socially you can engage with your audience, the better the results will be.

Aside from creating and promoting your ad campaigns in Facebook, you could also promote the individual posts you may create in your personal page, fan pages or in your groups. You may even get many free promotions out of all this if others are willing to ‘share’ your posts. This would be the ultimate form of success in this form of online advertising in Facebook.

What should be the key target for your online advertising campaigns?

I recommend to encourage for any of your ad campaigns to sway your audience to click on to visit your own website or offer, away from Facebook or Google. This should be the desired end result even from your Facebook fan pages and group activities.

Ideally, you would want anyone who clicked on your ads or posts to go to your landing or squeeze page. This landing page is not to be confused as the home page of your website. I have a detailed BLOG on how to go about creating a landing page here.

As explained in details, all landing pages are designed for a singular purpose which is to get the visitor to take action on your offer immediately. This action could be anything from downloading a free e-book, getting a cool infographic, trial software, any type of a purchase, limited time access, etc.

Also make sure to use a very good hosting company to ensure maximum up time of your site or landing pages. Otherwise your ad revenue will be wasted by sending traffic to a page which may be down at times.

Never forget to do this

The most important part is to get your prospects to enter their email addresses in your capture form before the action in the landing page is completed. These email address are then entered into your email list or sales funnel at the back end. Naturally, you will need to have the sales funnel setup and active beforehand.

An email autoresponder will work in tandem with your sales funnel to run your email campaigns to do all future marketing and selling to all your subscribers in your email list over time. A dynamic set of emails need to be in your funnel which will offer value to your subscribers in return for their decisions to purchase your products and services.

The back end is where your profits are

Surely you have understood by now that your initial online advertising campaign in Google or Facebook should be an enticing offer which would only need to get them to click on the ad to get them to your landing page.

Once there, the full details of the offer is found with sufficient prompt to take action immediately. Keep in mind that this action is not any big ticket sales. The action they may take is intended to convert them from a cold prospect to a warm lead.

The big ticket sales start to happen from your compelling offers in your sales funnel, which your leads will receive in their email inbox. I can’t stress enough of the importance of a good sales funnel.

You can pick up a free book on how to create the best sales funnels here. In this book by Russel Brunson himself, you could find all the steps on how to strategize and implement a high converting sales funnel.

What about webinars?

Another popular way to generate leads are by holding webinars. In fact, it’s the rage these days for many successful marketers. Of course, you will need to have already created some familiarity of your brand, products and services to get the optimum results from your webinars.

You need to certainly market the webinars through online marketing campaigns.

webinars - www.mashuk.pro
webinars – www.mashuk.pro

Please do not confuse a webinar with a ‘Facebook live’ session or ‘watch parties’. Webinars must be done professionally in a feature rich environment where your brand value is being represented by a live person who is speaking to all prospects directly.

Your live webinar attendees should have the capability to interact with you directly. This is very important for a Q&A segment usually towards the end of the webinars. Besides just answering questions, you should be able to send across screenshots and active links for your attendees to opt-in to your offer right away rather than later.

It’s always best to have the capability in the webinar system for prospects to opt-in with their email addresses during the webinar in exchange for any services. You could verify all opt-ins in real time and start to build rapport with them before ending the live webinars.

The recordings of such professional level webinars could also be marketed afterwards , i.e. your fan pages and groups, to continue the campaign to generate even more leads.

My recommended webinar system can be found here. You will get access to this high converting webinar system and test drive it for yourself to explore all the features for absolutely free for 60 days!

I hope that I was able to provide the idea of a basic road map for online advertising campaigns and how to completely execute a sales campaign.

Is all this a lot of information to explore? Yes.

Is it a lot easier said than done? Yes.

But consider this. You will need to master all this and more in order to make a steady stream of unbound profits from your online business. So, it’s certainly worth it for you to allow yourself the time to learn this entire online sales process from online advertising to finally making predictable and generous profits effectively.

HOW TO DO EMAIL MARKETING

How To Do Email Marketing - www.mashuk.pro

Email marketing strikes some people as “old-fashioned.”  More fashionable options like social media and mobile marketing get all the attention these days, and some people will even try to tell you that email marketing is dead.

Unfortunately, reality doesn’t agree. In fact, with a strong content marketing approach, email is more powerful than ever.

Why? Because it moves the conversation about your business or information product to a more personal environment — the inbox.

In fact, many of you probably started to read this BLOG from my emails delivered right into your inbox as my premium content. The email will ultimately lead you to finish reading the full content in the BLOG page at my site.

The email inbox still happens to be the #1 preferred channel for permission-based content marketing, by a wide margin, over social media, direct mail & paid search. Email provides you the most direct line of communication for conversion to sales, and smart online marketers have no intention of giving it up any time soon.

Email Marketing Fact

With an ROI of around 4,300% (according to the Direct Marketing Association), email marketing almost pays for itself. Direct mail campaigns cost, on average, almost ten times more.

5 Strengths of Email Marketing

  1. Email marketing is still the most cost-effective way for promotions
  2. By consistently offering valuable content, you could build loyal followers
  3. More followers would lead to repeat traffic through referrals and word-of-mouth
  4. You can track email data easily and watch your response rates as they climb or fall
  5. Higher engagement means higher conversion rates that boost your bottom line

On the flip side, the percentage of permission-based messages that are trashed by email service providers is very high, and spam filters seem to be getting smarter every ongoing moment.

Sure, we’re all familiar with email newsletters that tends to waste our time, pitches that annoy us, and are simply downright spam.

Those never work but plenty of people are toiling over them.

What does work is a value exchange system — your valuable information for your prospect’s valued time.

Your subscribers need to know that they can trust you … that you’re not a soulless self-promoting spam-bot. You ultimate aim is for your readers to dig through spam filters, complain to their email providers, and do anything they can to make sure they’re getting your content.

Good email content deepens your relationship with your audience through:

  1. Effective subject line writing, to get your emails opened
  2. Speaking to your audience in a distinctive voice to get your content read
  3. And delivering quality, niche specific content your prospect needs and would willingly share with others.

All good email marketing campaigns will always need to include good subject lines. The subject lines are just as important, if not more, as titles of any BLOG posts. They need to be compelling enough to get the prospect to open the email to read it instead of simply deleting the email before opening it.

Give the subject lines good enough consideration and not simply put something together at your whim.

Best Practices for Writing Subject Lines

  1. Try to include a number in your subject line to significantly increase your email opening rates. This follows the same logic as including numbers in any BLOG titles. For a better understanding of this, you can have a quick read of one of my previous BLOGs on this.
  2. Keep it short and to the point. Long sentences as subject lines will certainly result in fewer opening rates. This is primarily due to the fact that almost 50% of all emails will be viewed in mobile devices. Best to have subject lines which can be viewed in full in all types of mobile devices.
  3. Depending on your email topics, research the automatic spam trigger words and avoid them like the plague in your subject lines. Even though your content might deliver some awesome value, it will never be read if the email ends up in the spam/junk folder.
  4. Do not use any ‘clickbaits’ in your subject lines. Such clickbaits may get your emails opened only once and then will be flagged as junk emails. You do not ever want your prospects opening your emails for the wrong reasons. Misleading your prospects will only cost you.
  5. Likewise, do not use your company names or brands in the subject lines. You want to use the limited amount of words in the subject lines to make the value of the content more apparent. The value you offer should always be the primary driver of your email marketing campaigns.
  6. Recent studies show that using any emoji in the subject line will affect your prospects in a positive way, hence will increase your open rates. But no need to over do it either. Around 1-3 emoji should be enough.
  7. Never use all caps for your subject lines. You may feel that using all caps will make your subject lines stand out, but it’s rather quite the opposite. You would be grabbing for attention in a negative way. Rather, using title case in your subject lines will deliver you the desired results. Psychological studies show that title case denotes authority.

How should you structure your content in email marketing?

All successful email marketing campaigns have a unique aspect to them. The content is structured in a specific and personal way with the aim to engage the readers to consume the content within a seemingly short duration.

My suggestion is to break up the content into three separate parts.

  1. Right at the start, you will need to establish yourself as an authority on the content you are about to offer. Even your personal experiences, and not strictly academics, could make you an authority on the subject. Tell your story and make the content relevant to you. With a commitment to building a relevant and targeted email list, you should always deliver the authority and trust to your expectant list, and develop a long-term conversation that eventually grows your business and personal brand.
  2. For the next part, establish an opportunity for the readers to connect to the content at a psychological level. This is usually done by asking certain relevant questions? Such as, ‘How would an extra $2,000 per month affect your life?”. Naturally, the answer will be different for everyone while you knowing that all of the answers will be on the positive side.
  3. To wrap things up in your email, you will need to finally allow the readers to make a decision based on the breadcrumbs you had already laid out. This is very important for you not to not appear as leading them somewhere. They must consciously make the decision and fully own the outcome of it.

The tone of the email is preferred to be of a casual nature. Just because you need to establish yourself as an authority doesn’t mean that you will need to sound as one. Your casual tone would relax the prospect enough to make any spot decisions.

So you could get the idea that your email copy needs to be highly logical and laser focused on a singular idea. Too many speculations would only dilute any desired results. Short, sweet and simple is the recipe for success to winning copywriting for email marketing.

Important Tips for your Email Marketing Campaigns

  1. Speak to your prospect as a person and not a group. This means, use only first person grammar and vocabulary when composing your copy for the email. Do not make your copy seem generic and was made to address a group of people in general. Often enough, even I receive emails which I can tell very clearly that it was repurposed from another campaign.
  2. Speed is the key. Starting from your subject line, have direct and logical track to cover all your intentions of your email. Deliver the value early on backed by direct logic. I don’t mean here for you to rush anything, just take care not to meander off into too many branches and keep on skirting the real issue at hand. Remember to always keeping it short, sweet and simple.
  3. To put things into perspective, your prospect is what legendary copywriter Robert Collier calls “the man on the speeding train.” We see something shiny through the window as we speed through the massive clutter of the social media landscape, but we don’t look for long because a new thing is already in our periphery.
  4. Your offer must be relevant to your audience/prospects. If you are marketing orange seeds to a peach orchard, you would be clearly in the wrong place. The same applies to not being relevant to your prospects, regardless of how valuable you may feel your offer is.

Similar to the tone being of a casual nature, the copywriting must be done in a very easy to read manner. Go through and re-organize your copy several times before finalizing. Easy reading equals shorter time spent and quicker decisions. This fact also reinforces your authority factor.

Some quick copywriting tips for your email marketing

Repetition: Repeat but don’t be repetitive. You could make your point in several ways.

State reasons why: The psychology of ‘because’ primes your audience for action.

Social Proof: The driving nature of acceptance and belonging.

Comparisons: Use of metaphors, similes, and analogies that relate to things generally accepted as true.

Agitate and solve: Describe the problem, then offer your solution.

Prognosticate: Give a glimpse of the future based on practical insights and/or case studies.

Go tribal: Give your prospects an exclusive opportunity to be a part of something great.

Address any objections: Do your research so you know your audience’s objections before they do.

Storytelling: The easiest way to sell anything is to tell a great story, your story. Legendary Marketer named David Sharpe affectionately calls this ‘story-selling‘.

Quick email tips for your email marketing campaigns

  • Capture your opt-ins with a prevalent and strategic email sign-up on your website (double opt-ins are the safest)
  • Automate your email newsletters with a proven autoresponder
  • Write irresistible email subject lines that can’t be ignored
  • Use the language of persuasion, but keep it simple
  • Be conversational and relatable
  • Tell a great story
  • Study your audience and know your targeted niche and demographics
  • Make sure you are offering more than great value in exchange for prospects’ time
  • Create email content that is succinct and easy to digest
  • When you build trust by offering valuable content, you turn your audience’s precious attention into long-term interest that drives repeat traffic

Any good autoresponder lets you create defined sequences of emails to send to your readers. The millionth subscriber would surely have the same experience as the first.

This means that no matter how busy you get during the week, your new email subscribers are always well taken care of. Your list will always be served at your pre-set sequence.

It’s also a very good idea to ask the email recipients to whitelist your email address by simply adding it to their contact list. You have nothing to lose by asking them and everything to gain. You should ask this several times in the emails your autoresponder will send over time in order to reinforce your request.

Growing your email marketing list

Your growing list is the lifeblood of your email marketing campaigns. You need to truly understand what will trigger a prospect to give you their email address very willingly. Ethical bribes such as free e-books, podcasts, special reports, infographics, etc. has always worked with varying degrees of success.

When you build an ongoing relationship with your audience (and email subscribers in particular), they are the ones most likely to help you build long-term income:

  • Your subscribers are the ones who have the strongest foundation of trust with your content.
  • Your subscribers will still be there even if you run into snags on your website (like getting hacked, or penalized by Google).
  • And your subscribers will become the bulk of your buyers, whether it’s now, or sometime in the future.

Your subscribers or commonly referred to as your email list is truly the most valuable asset you can build, over time, for your online business. When you focus on getting your audience to sign up for your email list you are in fact ensuring a far higher rate of conversion for your services or products.

But the question is that why would anyone sign up to your BLOG or website?

The simple answer is that they would need to see a value in joining your BLOG or website. This value needs to be strong enough not only to serve their needs, but also their egos as well. Hence, in addition to the value, offer them some social proof as well. If you are a large subscriber base, posting the number of subscribers can be a very good form of social proof.

If you are just starting out, showing a large number of subscribers would be a problem. However, I offer a few suggestions for you:

  • Using testimonials in your signup area. Why not show them what other people are saying about becoming a subscriber? This is especially effective if you can get a testimonial from someone respected in the industry. Don’t leave these testimonials in your testimonials page, rather put them where people need to see them to create maximum impact.
  • If you have a good number, display it. If you get a lot of comments, be sure your comment number is displayed at the top of your posts. Perhaps your number of monthly visits is reasonably impressive, make that prominent. If you have a good Twitter following, highlight that. Large numbers immediately help new subscribers feel like they are becoming a part of something.
  • Use exclusivity. In your call to action, you might talk about why signing up means becoming part of an exclusive community. Being part of a group is good. Being part of a group that other people don’t know about is even better.
  • Use social media. Encourage the happy readers you already have to tweet your content, like it on Facebook, and otherwise use social media tools to demonstrate that you’ve got good stuff.

Email marketing is here to stay

At a time when content marketing over emails is as prevalent as ever, its power is hard to ignore.

According to recent marketing surveys:

  • 8 out of 10 consumers claim to receive marketing messages alongside our personal emails on a daily basis.
  • 70% of us make use of a coupon or discount we learned about from email.
  • Over half of us say that receiving special offers is the top reason for subscribing to an email list from a business.

Every single minute, some 170 million emails are sent by an estimated 3.6 billion accounts worldwide, and around 100 of those may land in your own inbox every day.

20 SEO TIPS FOR POSTS AND PAGES

20 SEO TIPS FOR POSTS AND PAGES - Mashuk.pro

Anyone who wishes to be found in the Internet by their target audience, Search Engine Optimization, or commonly termed as SEO, should always be on top of their minds. While doing SEO for certain types of websites may prove to be easier than others, the basic considerations tend to be the same in general.

The content spread throughout any website will play the major role for most, if not all, SEO checklists. This in itself poses a rather huge challenge. This means that if you keep only the major SEO aspects in mind, your content will suffer.

After all, it’s human beings who will be reading through your content. However, it will be the search engine bots who, i.e. from Google, will rank your site after evaluating the content based on very different metrics. Therefore, you must become a grand expert on content creation keeping both the human aspects and the search engine bots in balance.

The general rule of thumb is to have the keyword(s) inserted into the page tags as well as peppering the body text with them. Not long ago, the tags and the body text could be littered to the point of almost gibberish with the keywords. However, Google has greatly changed the way it evaluates content as to where it will determine whether a human being is able to read the content in any normal fashion.

So, the art of writing content now plays a very strong role in all SEO evaluations. Simply put, inserting keywords must make sense and be relevant to the content being written.

Hence, true success is only achieved when the art of SEO & the art of content writing is in perfect harmony where search engine ranking and user experience works seamlessly.

Is such a writing skill easily achieved? Absolutely no.

Most of us have been trained in either one, traditional creative writing discipline or the comparatively newer digital discipline. Rarely can we see both present within the same type or range of content.

Now a days, no matter your writing style, SEO is a ‘must’ consideration for all pages and posts. Keywords must be inserted properly throughout the site in order to achieve maximum ranking. Of course, you will need to have quality content to work with to begin with.

Make no mistake that readers will be able to see through any poorly written content straight away. Only content with authority and absolute clarity can boast a solid readership base over time. Hence, SEO elements must work in harmony and not disturb the original writing style and intention of the content.

For such harmony to happen, I allow myself time. I tend to simply write out everything that’s rattling around in my head on the subject. I don’t even worry about the grammar. Just simply freehand writing flowing from my thoughts.

Editing happens later on and in stages. Running through once over is simply not good enough. Consider your keywords, audience, subject matter, key benefits, solutions offered, etc. during the entire editing process. I usually allow myself a couple of days for several revisions until I am satisfied.

I am a bit of an old school writer and will always tend to write as such. However, I have struggled and learned to be better through following some best practices I have read about over time. Let me attempt to offer you some of those best practices tips as below.

1.      A Catchy Headline

I have already touched on how to write catchy headlines in a previous post. Here I just wanted to reiterate that the keyword must be present in the headline. Often enough the headline carries as much weight as the words that follow.

Also my workflow is to develop my headline AFTER the entire article is finished, including the editing process. This provides me with a better understanding of the entire content and finalize on a more fitting headline with the SEO keywords in place.

2.      Keyword Research or SEO

Have a standard workflow of how you do your keyword research. Do the keyword research well beforehand and plan your content accordingly. Also have a process flow on checking back on the specific keyword later in time, in case another variation would become a better fit.

3.      Using Bullet Points

Did you know that Google pays very keen attention to Bold letterings, Bullet Points and Block Quotes for SEO? Well, it does. Perhaps not a sure fire thing, but will certainly help your SEO for the page or post.

4.      Keywords in Meta Description

This fact is not really for SEO purposes as Google claims to not use meta descriptions for ranking purposes. Rather, in the search results, your meta description will have your keywords appear as bold. This should catch the reader’s attention better and improve the chances of engagement.

5.      Keyword Priority

Know where the keywords matter most. Usually, the logical priority sequence is:

  • Title tag
    • This is very important and try to place the keyword early in the sentence
  • Internal links within the content
  • Alt attribute of the images
  • Headline tags
  • Meta description

6.      Write something daily

It’s a fact that writing is like developing a muscle. The more you do it, the more conditioned you become. Work with a daily schedule so that you have a dedicated time slot for writing. Not necessarily you will need to publish every piece of writing. But write anyway.

Turn off all distractions, including your Wi-Fi during your writing times. Even researching during your writing times is considered a major distraction. Organize all your research work before you start to write.

Also such regular practice will decrease mistakes with grammar and spellings and make the editing phase a lot less stressful.

7.      Peak Performance

I always prefer to write during the early morning hours. I feel my energy flows at peak levels during those hours. Of course the 2 cups of coffee might have something to do with that also.

8.      Focus on your topic

Needless to say that you will do best if you write on topics you resonate well with. Don’t worry of the commercial success and focus on just churning out quality content on your chosen topics.

9.      Ask a lot of questions

Join active forums on the topic(s) you are writing on. Ask questions and let others answer them. Such type of proactive engagement will foster better thinking as well as provide indications on interest levels on the topic. Engage in detailed conversations in case the interest levels seem high.

You can then build your content around the questions. Answering even one question can become a full length post. It also may be a good idea to merge a few questions into the same post, depending on the situation at hand.

10.  Always research beforehand

The readers are very unforgiving towards false or mis-represented facts. Doing proper research will severely impact your credibility overall. Studying your direct competitors can also be a good way to find out what works and what doesn’t.

I spend a good deal of time with research, usually during any down times I may get during the day. I always carry a notebook and pen with me to jot down any quick thoughts I may have throughout such times. If the pen and paper isn’t your thing, you could do the same with a tablet or perhaps even a voice recorder.

11.  Know your audience

Your content should always be written with your audience in mind. Always try to write with a similar tone so that your content becomes truly unique to your audience and eventually encourage them to share the content.

12.  Tell the whole story

Don’t just rush to finish a story. Allow for your audience to feel their way around your entire content. The beginning should be just as important to them as the end. Appeal to all their senses where you can. Lead them on to what and how they should feel and possibly even react to any particular situation.

The average length for an effective post should be around 2000 words. This fact gives you a lot of room to work with to tell the depth of the story. Longer posts are perfectly fine, but only IF they are filled with appealing content rather than wasteful fluff.

13.  Organize the 5Ws

Your content should always address the classic 5Ws – What, Where, When, Who & Why. Of course the most key element follows with the How. I often like to put a teaser for the How in my headlines or titles. All the 5Ws should always be addressed elaborately in organized paragraphs. This way, it’s also easier to insert your keywords well in to the content for the perfect SEO.

5Ws of writing posts and blogs - Mashuk.pro

14.  Start with the end in mind

This is an old cliché but it really works. If it helps you to visualize this better, write out the topic first on a piece of paper. Then on the next line, write out the objective you wish to achieve ultimately. This way you can always refer back to this often and not meander off into tangents.

Once finished, you should actually audit your content versus the objective before publishing

15.  The 10 second rule

When editing, keep in mind that it’s a proven fact that you will have around 10 seconds max to engage your reader to the content. Hence, you will need to edit in such a way to achieve any engagement very early on. This may lead to re-writing some of the content, which is just fine. Allow yourself the time to do this.

16.  Select your words wisely

Always use strong and suggestive words to begin as well as ending the sentences. Avoid any passive words to start any sentence. Similarly, the paragraphs should also be structured in a way that it will always start with a strong sentence and should end similarly as well.

Remember that you will need to lead the reader to where they need to go. Hence, every word matters.

17.  Less is more

This tip is of paramount importance. In fact, obsess over this fact.

You really don’t want to dilute the strong words and sentences with endless ramblings which bears no impact on your ultimate objective. Even if you feel that more needs to be said, find ways to tell the same thing with more impact while using less words.

Simplicity should be your best friend, always.

18.  Mix it up

If you haven’t seen it in my writing yet, I try to use medium length sentences which may often be followed by shorter sentences. This helps to create a tempo. And always avoid long sentences. Always a good idea to break up long sentences into a medium length and short sentence for maximum effect.

19.  Shorter Paragraphs

Similar to the sentence length, try to work with shorter paragraphs as well. This always fosters better readability. Shorter paragraphs will also allow you to ‘lead’ the reader to any specific objective such as ‘lead capture’.

20.  Work with deadlines

I don’t mean that you should restrict your creativity or research for your content. However, setting practical deadlines will actually get you to work more efficiently. Your post schedules should always have a regular interval. This will also condition your readership base to expect fresh content from you at timely interludes.

Bottom line is that without quality content, all your SEO activities will be wasted. As I had mentioned earlier, we should attempt to reach the perfect harmony of quality content strategically peppered with your keyword(s). Keyword placement should never disturb the quality and natural tempo of the content what so ever. Keywords should always appear as a natural part of the content to the reader.

Keep in mind that your end goal is to transition your readers > prospects > customers.

For maximum effect, you will need to master the SEO techniques to be combined with quality content writing which truly appeals to the target audience. If you can achieve this, your intended success will only build over time in many folds.

HOW TO LEARN AFFILIATE MARKETING THAT PAYS OFF

HOW TO LEARN AFFILIATE MARKETING THAT PAYS OFF - Mashuk.pro

I came across a question at Quora.com yesterday where someone was seeking to find any affiliate marketing opportunities where it would be absolutely free to join and yet be able to make lots of money.

Now, I always wondered of what is the actual intent behind such type of questions. Free to join vs. anyone being able to make ANY money are two very different things.

I know that we get bombarded with claims of overnight success with many so called free online marketing or affiliate programs every day. Many of these gurus claim that there is hardly any work involved and you could simply lay back and watch the profits in thousands of dollars roll into your bank account.

The reality of all affiliate marketing is the same as any other business whether online or not. It involves serious commitment, taking massive actions, dedicated involvement, precise business planning, dynamic marketing plan, well planned budgets, highly tuned strategies, flawless execution, etc. Simply put, you need to be able to see where you want to be in 3 years from start and know how to get there.

Let me be the one to tell you that there are no short cuts to a successful and sustainable affiliate marketing business. Sure you could make some money here and there, but it will surely not be at a sustainable level of income which you can count on every week or month.

These so called ‘get rich quick’ programs are what someone else’s dreams in which they want you to join into. So how would you know whether it’s the right path for your dreams and success?

Online Marketing Success - Mashuk.pro
Online Marketing Success – Mashuk.pro

The reality of affiliate marketing is that there are a few who were able to become filthy rich, some are successful as generally speaking and most are simply struggling.

This is a clear indication that most people are simply trying to grab for the next ‘shiny object’, while certain types of people are trying to take advantage of this fact.

They are hoping that someone else will in turn give them thousands of dollars of profits while they simply sit around and do very little or nothing.

Does this statement not sounds absurd to you? Well it certainly should.

Before proceeding further, let’s have a quick look at some of the common pros and cons of online/affiliate marketing.

The Pros of Affiliate Marketing:

  1. Low cost of entry while many are free to join
  2. You do not have to create your own products
  3. No inventory to maintain
  4. No products to ship or deliver yourself
  5. You can work from anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection
  6. Income can eventually be passive depending on your marketing strategy
  7. Can initially start as additional income

The Cons of Affiliate Marketing:

  1. Need substantial amount of traffic to generate any high ticket income
  2. A bad affiliate program can damage your personal credibility
  3. Zero control over the affiliate product, service, or how it does business
  4. Some companies may not pay you when your commissions become due
  5. The better the affiliate program, the higher the competition
  6. The sales and customers will always belong to the merchant even though you had referred that customer to the merchant

Falling into the many pitfalls of the affiliate marketing programs out there can only be avoided with due diligence on your part.

Some of the Key Things to Consider are:

  1. Before starting your online business, consider and learn all that is required to make the business successful. But I should state here that you should not wait until you have learned everything before starting your business. If you do, your business will never start. Rather break it up into steps to getting your business off the ground. Making profits right off the bat is a fantasy in most cases. A series of successful events will lead you to profitability. Think of Microsoft as they launch their products and will keep on providing updates at later stages.

  2. Always choose the right affiliate program. Consider buying their products and services to judge their processes before joining their programs. Remember, you will be sending your customers to the program and any bad experience will certainly damage your reputation.

For example, I am an affiliate of NameHero and I use their hosting personally and I am comfortable with their level of service. They work very closely with me to resolve any issues and I proudly mention them here without any added interest. Your relationship with your affiliate program owners should be very similar.

  3. Be very clear on the financials such as terms of payments to you, frequencies, special conditions, etc. Also to keep in mind that you further negotiate any with them as you go based on your performance.

  4. Always be marketing. Utilize any and all traffic sources available to you free or paid to drive traffic to your offers.

  5. Start an email list. You will constantly hear that the ‘Money is in the List’. Your list will eventually become an amazing source of profits by marketing your promotions through it. Email lists are meant to be used in conjunction with an auto-responder system. There are free and paid versions of these for you to choose from.

  6. For certain promotions, consider using landing pages. They are most efficient in driving sales with this singular purpose. These days there are many options to creating landing pages even of you do not have your own website.

  7. Lastly, always monitor your campaign performances. It’s certainly worth it to monitor the stats everyday and tweak them as necessary to increase sales.

Understand that there are a few very good affiliate marketing programs to join out there. Leader of the pack may as well be Amazon. It’s absolutely free to become an affiliate at Amazon which gives you access to sell their zillions of products available online which would include your profit margins.

So the question here is that even if you sign up to a good and free affiliate program, how do you market the products well enough so that you could make a decent and sustainable income month after month?

HOW TO WRITE CATCHY HEADLINES

HOW TO WRITE CATCHY HEADLINES

The first consideration in this journey of how to write catchy headlines for your blog posts or anything similar is what type of roles do keywords play in your post headlines.

The blogosphere always seems to be at a state of war with the various schools of thought on this topic. You should consider their merits as you start to write your headline or title. I will discuss a couple of them to start the ball rolling.

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experts claim that the keywords are the most important aspect of any blog post title.

This will enable anyone searching for any specific keywords to match with the same keyword in the blog title. Hence, the obvious question is that “how else would anyone find your blog post from any search results?”

Further, the selection of keywords to include in your title determines how well you rank in the search results as well.

In the opposing spectrum, you’ve got the purists “write for humans”, who has always collectively scoffed at the notion of keyword research for the purpose of composing headlines.

Their view is that, what would be the point of search-optimized post titles if no one bothers to read or share in the first place? Successful bloggers often claim that search engine traffic isn’t really all that important to them anyway, which they passionately maintain, especially compared to high-quality referral traffic from links.

I have always thought that there is a middle ground to this.

Let’s start by saying that keywords actually do matter, but not necessarily for the reasons the SEO gurus may think.

Doing keyword research is an essential process. It’s a free or at least a low-cost window into the minds of your target audiences.

You could easily understand this if you think back to the times before the modern and refined search engines.

It was truly difficult to know and quantify the exact words or phrases that anyone would use when thinking about exploring any certain topics online. Many have tried to work with small focus groups to identify their thought on specific topics. But such approach most often met with criticism that what people say in front of others is not the same as what they may actually do.

So if you’re writing any type of titles/headlines, online or not, you should be doing keyword research. Because any great headline should speak in the style that the audience will resonate to, while incorporating the proven structures that catches attention and offers a promise or value.

Another aspect to keyword research also packs quite the punch.

Many SEO gurus agree that you shouldn’t go after the most popular keywords. Rather, you should target the niche phrases. While they may result in less traffic individually, but there’s a lot more of such phrases, and definitely less competition.

This ties into the fact that such way of working is also perfect for writing ‘headlines for humans’. The niche phrases are much more specific, and as such makes for a much better headline. Further, better headlines lead to better content, when you write out the headline first, it sets a more definite direction for the entire post.

All search engines such as Google, Bing, etc. truly wants to match perfect results for what’s important to the users. That is precisely why the search engines use links and anchor texts as one of the primary determining factors of relevancy.

Keywords truly do matter, because when you can resonate with the audience from the start, you will always tend to attract more readers, more links, more retweets, more social bookmarks, and surely… more relevant search traffic.

Hence, both the schools of thought are correct, albeit for different reasons.

Now with our better understanding of this subject, let’s explore one of the most effective catchy headline types in the world — the “how-to” headline.

Imagine that your blog post being retweeted thousands of times on Twitter, and shared all over Facebook. It wouldn’t be too spectacular to think that by the time you finish reading this post, you’ll be in a better position to make that scenario into reality.

Let’s explore a few of the ALL-STARS of composing catchy headlines.

The “How To” headlines

It’s always been a fact since the dawn of the Internet that how-to articles and blog posts are some of the most sought after, linked, and bookmarked content online. People are always searching high and low for useful information, and they are always happy to promoting it to others when they come across any.

The biggest battle is getting enough people to find at then to read it in the first place. Once found, the battle is most definitely either won or lost at the headline. What’s more, writing an awesome “how to” headline will help you to write even better how-to content when you fulfill the headline promise you made to get people to read in the first place.

Writing the “how to” content is rather easy.

Think about this… due to the crazy busy lives that we lead which prompts us to seek out tips, tricks, and methods to make things better, easier, and ultimately happier for ourselves. Focusing on the “better, easier, and happier” is the greatest key to fantastic “how to…” headlines and content.

It’s important to always remember that it’s not that people aren’t smart enough to understand the implied benefits of learning how to do something. It’s rather the complete opposite. Expressing the benefit points early and up front will yield far better results that implied benefits.

When searching, people always will employ aggressive attention filters when scanning headlines, and you’ll get through the filters of a lot more people if you spell out the benefits rather than relying on any implications.

I had read somewhere that it’s almost impossible to write a bad “how to…” headline.

While that may be true, always seriously consider on what comes after those two magical words can make all the difference in the amount of attention and readership your will engage with.

More than often you may find it harder to extract the true benefits of learning how to do something. Often, you can simply take a normal “how to…” title and make it better simply by using the transition word “that” immediately following the subject matter of the post.

Once you add “that,” just ask yourself what the top benefit of your post is for the reader.

Then figure out the best way to say it. This usually means being as specific as possible.

Example of this can be: How to Lease a Car That Will Save You Money

Another smart way to go about this is to increase the curiosity factor of your headline, while just about guaranteeing that you’ll nail the primary benefit of your post. Start with “How” but leave out the “to.”

You’ll still need to make the beneficial promise to your reader that will be fulfilled in the content, but the intrigue factor will be higher and your results perhaps even better.

Example of this can be: How I Shed All My Belly Fat in 30 days

The “List” Headlines

My next favorite but no way less effective is the List headlines due to the attention-grabbing power of such headlines. This type of catchy headlines have always been popular and showing no signs of slowing down.

Any headline that lists a number of reasons, secrets, types, or ways will work because, once again, it makes a very specific promise of what’s in store for the reader. A nice quantifiable return on their attention invested goes a long way toward prompting any specific actions.

These types of posts will also elevate your authority level on the subject many folds by demonstrating your expertise by summing up the promised benefits into a neat and easy to absorb list.

Examples of this can be:

  • 3 Early Signs of Diabetic Stroke
  • 10 Effective Ways To Plug a Leaky Roof
  • Five Types of Best Affiliate Marketing Methods in 2018
  • Free Book Gives You 10 Best Kept Secrets of Online Business Profits
  • 96 Ways to Improve Your Health Just by Eating Organic Foods

The above examples could be serious attention grabbers if seen by the right people searching for such topics. Presenting small or large numbers can have inherent benefits to the readers.

A large number, however absurd it may seem, can be mentioned to create the feeling of abundance of benefits. While smaller numbers tend to invoke a sense of urgency where the content can be absorbed by the readers rather quickly. This is ideal if you wish the readers to take any immediate actions such as subscribing, grabbing discount codes, etc.

The “Why” headlines

Lastly, let’s touch on this before we move on.

The “Why” headlines always tend to be an attention grabber because it starts by declaring a benefit to the reader as if the headline is answering a specific question, instead of asking a question.

An example of this can be: Why Some Homes in Vermont Will Almost Always Go Up in Value

The use of the word “some,” and having “almost” modify “always,” make the headline much more believable. Not even the highest paid copywriters in the world always nail a headline that works, and some people never write great post titles, because they don’t take the time to learn how.

It’s also easy to lead the “Why” with other words to drive home the message in a stronger way, such as “Here’s Why”.

Can anyone write great post titles or catchy headlines?

The simple answer to this is an obvious yes.

If anyone considers the information throughout this post every time they formulate a title or headline for their posts, it should work out very well. That being said, there is no end to learning in becoming truly the best that you can be.

Always strive to understand your audience. Their mindset, age, affinities, preferences that affect their buying decisions, etc. are key considerations to explore. Doing this will enable you to make your headlines to be appealing to your specific audience rather than a watered down version trying to appeal to the masses.

Studying the pros and cons of the headlines of your direct competitors can also sharpen your skills. Also, I have always found that magazines always use very catchy headlines that have been very well researched. Try to look at some of the top magazines that may match your subject. I am sure that by doing this, you will gain some key insights you might not have considered earlier.

Some of the above may seem common sense to you. But let me remind you of the old adage ‘Common Sense is Not For Common People’.

To find proof of this is to simply look at the massive amount of marketing being done on the various social media platforms such as Twitter, Face Book, etc. There you will see that the headline alone attempts to drive the campaigns.

Most of such campaign headlines are simply not up to the mark. Hence, the very few good ones simply jumps out at you right away. Even then, most of the ones which you may consider good enough can surely be a lot better.

In summary, the more you focus on the benefits to the readers in your post’s catchy headlines along with trying to understand your reader demands better, the more readership you’ll develop over time. And by touching on the beneficial aspects while presenting your content, you’ll have more happy readers at the conclusion of any of your posts.
